“What a great location!”

The name says it all. It's right in the middle of everything the red light district has to offer. It's a short walk to the Central Station. The rooms are basic: bed, chair, tv...that's about it. Nothing fancy but then you don't come to Amsterdam to spend all your time in the room. The staff is very friendly, knowledgable about the area and they are great helping with directions. This hotel is so close to all the great pubs, cafes and coffeshops. The Bulldog and The Green House are just one block up and over each way. The complimentary breakfast was great too. I didn't expect it to rival those of more expensive hotels but they do a very good job. I will definately stay here again.

Apart from the building work going on around the whole area, this hotel is placed excellently. Right in the middle of the Red Light District and surrounded by coffieshops. If thats the kind of stuff your into, this is a great place to stay

“Basic but clean and friendly”

First Sight Not great Lots of street maintenance going on outside and the hotel looks poorly maintained and unclean which is a shame because once inside although its extremely basic its clean warm and friendly. Clean Bed linen Clean Towels and the bathroom was imaculate, The beds are not great and theres no facilities other than coat hooks for your clothes, But we had a fantastic time made even better by the location of the hotel even the bouncer on the live sex theatre next door was friendly and spoke to us ever time he saw us what more can you ask for. The Irish pub two doors down were great. The area is not for the faint hearted however, as its on the same street as the red light area and women are pole dancing in their windows opposite the hotel, fantastic! Welcome to Amsterdam. From four forty something first time Amsterdamers we had the best time and it was cheap, plenty of money left for a return trip cant wait

“Not good for sleep”

To many people sleeping in the same room and very noise.

“No air conditioning”

We spent 3 days at the hotel without any air conditioning or any sort of fan it was about 90 degrees in the rooms. Not only where the rooms extremely unkept the beds were really just 5 dollar cots.The only good thing about the hotel really was its location. It was not too far from the main areas of the city.

An extremely basic hotel/hostel. Rooms contain beds, a telly, a chair and some hooks to hang clothes on if you don't want to leave them in the suitcase. Clean linen and fresh towels provided. Floor and shower curtain needed cleaning. Very noisy at night, but if you intend to stay out till the very early hours then this may not matter. Good selection of food for breakfast, although eating area is very small. Great location for seeing the sights, restaurants, bars etc. My general belief is that a holiday is what you make it. I loved Amsterdam, but I would have preferred a bit more cleanliness in the room and a comfy matress and pillow. I also wouldn't have chosen this accommodation had I realised there were bars and clubs either side so the noise continued till 4.30am.

“Yuk”

Run down and neglected. No evidence of fleas. We had an en suite room which was tiny but spotlessly clean. No-where to put your clothes so had to stay in suitcases. No evidence of any bags being tampered with. Never made breakfast so can't comment. Right in the middle of red light district with girls opposite so if this would bother you go elsewhere. Should you go to bed early and sober very noisey at night however not a problem for us. Totally not suitable for children or the faint hearted.

“Bad Hotel”

Do not stay here no matter how cheap, worse place ever!
