“Amsterdam's Best Hotel-World hotel”

Every hotel should follow their service and concept with regards to open internet access and 24 service, and self check in etc.... even though the restaurant/gift shop/bar is all in one I found that it was sooo convenient and welcoming.... I wish there were more Citizen M hotels in the world

“the coolest hotel i've been in my life, by far!!!!”

me and my husband travel friequently....but we never came across a hotel as good and comfortable as the Citizenm...everything was amazing...the room is beautifully designed and very comfortable -it's a bit small but suitable for a couple. locathion is nice- not in the city center but in a quite neighborhood and very close a tram station no'5 five which is the prime tram line in amsterdam (it takes you almost through all the importamt sights). the hotel concept was interesting...we enjoyed checkig in and ut by ourselves... hotel staff was extriemly helpful when needed the food in the kantine was middiocare but prices were comfortable. we'll be back for sure!!!!

“Excellent "concept hotel" in Amsterdam”

My wife and son really enjoyed our experience in this very high-tech hotel in Amsterdam. The room was small but very conveniently organized. I loved the self check-in and self check-out. Super-fast WiFi connectivity. It's a bit far from the center but there's a tram right by the hotel which conveniently drops you off at the center and many other interesting areas (such as the museums). Will stay there again if I have a chance. I wish that concept in other parts of the world.

“Excellent hotel- would highly recommend”

Excellent hotel! Very different from any hotel I had stayed in before, with a very modern feel and a futuristic style concept. Self check in was very easy with plenty of hotel staff around to help, and loved the room. The area in the lobby to buy food is also an excellent idea- being able to purchase a wide variety of food, including hot meals at any time of day was very convenient, and there was a very good selection of snacks, and hot and cold food avaliable. Great location in the south of the city as well- a bit further out of the centre, but directly opposite a stop for tram 5, and within easy walking distance of Amsterdam's southern station with metro links. Seemed more of a hotel for single travellers or couples. Would definitely stay again!

“Fabulous”

I'm very impressed by the design of the hotel, the facilities, and the room deco. It was really a nice experience to stay there.

“A great hotel and a great mood in it.”

With the layout of the room, it would be hard to share a room with all but the most liberal of people. The rooms layout is modern and although small it is very comfortable and well equipt. However if you were staying for business and for longer than 2 nights I think storage for hanging clothes would become an issue. The staff are some of the best I have had at a hotel and make a concious effort to make your stay comfortable. During the stay we had a power cut and an issue with the water but this was beyond their control and did what ever they could to ensure there was little inconvienience. It was not an issue for me as both were cleared up quickly. Some might come on here and moan about this but worse things happen at sea.

“Close to Free University”

stayed for one week on business at VU. Very convenient to walk to the campus. also only 1 blk to the #5 Tram that takes you straight downtown to all the top tourist areas of the city. very nice hotel. and yes all their "electronic" decor is fun.

“Great hotel”

Great hotel, small rooms but you shouldn't be spending too much time there. Fantastic shower! Just make sure you are sharing the room with someone that you don't mind seeing and hearing your bathroom activities. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Great bar and chill out areas. A bonus is the bar is open all night. It's 10 mins on the tram into the centre but a nice walk if you have the time. Just a few mins walk from the station if you are taking the airport train which takes 5 mins and costs €2.50 compared to about €35 in a cab. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Business yes, tourist sights no.”

Great for people there on business but as a tourist the location was too far out from the sights requiring a 15 minute, crowded tram ride to get back downtown.
