“Beautiful view”

Can't say enough about this hotel choice. It is in a great location, the view from a lateral sea view is spectacular (we had room 19), the service is impeccable and a reasonable breakfast was included. They really do cater to all your needs and were most helpful confirming train connections, giving recommendations and making reservations.

“In the Heart of Positano”

My daughter and I were upgraded to a better room upon arrival. Unfortunately, the heat was not working but they provided a portable heater right away and the wireless internet was very weak from the room. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the shopping, restaurants and the beach. The breakfast buffet was a sumptuous treat for us every morning. I would definitely stay here again if I were in Positano. I suggest that if you do stay and you want to see Capri, stay in Capri for a night also as there really is not enough time for just a day trip. Despite the overcast weather, the Amalfi coast is just gorgeous - heaven on earth!

“Just Fabulous”

Palazzo Murat is now one of our top two hotels. After a breathtaking journey over the mountains and around the famed coastal road in the capable hands (sometimes off the wheel gesticulating in true Italian style) of the SITA bus driver, a walk down the hill into Positano with the views of the opposite side of the valley filling you with wonder and expectation, through the palatial gates of the Palazzo to be confronted by the most stunning building wrapped in bouganvillea and the lushest of gardens (even in November) within the Palazzo walls and then to be greeted, so warmly, with a glass of delicious fresh lemonade at check in and to be escorted to probably the most opulent room we have ever stayed in; the hotel had up-graded us, without charge, to a superior garden room, completely individual in style and extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony, in every direction, are astonishing. The staff are absolutely super, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Dinner on the Garden Terrace was delicious, breakfast on the patio I could do every day of my life in the beautiful surroundings of the Palazzo gardens. Look at the Palazzo Murat website and for once you will be able to believe what you see, because it is exactly what you will get. Positano is most definitely the jewel on the Amalfi Coast and Palazzo Murat is, most definitely, the stuff on which hotel dreams are made. (However, I don't doubt there will be a "misery" somewhere who will find fault.)

“Would definitely return.”

Went off season (mid November), but had excellent weather. The hotel location is excellent, but what stands out is the quality of the service by all staff. Location is very convenient to shopping, parking and beach restaurants. Stayed in the historic part of hotel with views of ocean that were outstanding, especially early in the morning. Would definitely return to this hotel !!

“A wonderful hotel”

I don't travel as much as I would like but this was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. There were flowers growing all over our balcony and in the garden below our room. There was a great view of the town and the ocean from our balcony. The hotel restaurant had a great menu and wine list with many high quality selections from Italy and France. The staff was very helpful and quick to make suggestions on how to make the most of our stay in Positano. The hotel was very close to the beach and restaurants. I would highly suggest this hotel to anyone looking for a high quality experience. We were married here and the hotel gladly allowed us to take pictures in the hotel and garden area.
