Made up of the McPherson Range, Gold Coast Hinterland is home to a variety of national parks. In the south, Springbrook National Park features waterfalls such as Purlingbrook Falls and Goomoolahra Falls, as well as ancient Antarctic Beech trees. The park's Natural Bridge houses a colony of glow worms. To the north, Tamborine Mountain National Park offers rainforest trails and views of the coast.
