What We Love
Whether you’re planning your next Italian holiday, or are a mad Italophile, you’re bound to enjoy this beautiful homage to Italy. Sydneysiders and close friends Emma Scott and Julie Adams have both been in love with ‘il bel paese’ (the beautiful country) for many years having lived and travelled extensively in Italy savouring the food, art, culture, landscapes and fashion. An Affair with Italy was born when Emma and Julie realised they were both equally passionate about everything to do with Italy. Their blog is packed with stunning photography, interviews, delicious recipes and great fashion, lifestyle and travel tips.

What has been your best travel experience?

Julie and I had the wonderful experience of interviewing Sue, an incredibly fascinating woman, about her role as one of the founders of the globally successful beauty brand Crabtree & Evelyn, the challenges and joy in launching the Italian brand Ortigia and her life in Florence. Sue welcomed us into her home with open arms and entertained us with her vibrant stories and cheeky personality. In Sue’s words…’
‘I think in life you always think one more time. Every time I go to sell my car I say, ‘oh I will just buy an ordinary car, not a fast car anymore because I am too old’, but it never seems to happen, I like the fast car.’ Read the whole interview here.
