A bit dated and worn (threadbare armchairs), belying the photos online, with a very minimally equipped kitchen (great microwave with crisping feature though!). But, the front desk and housekeeping staff were very responsive and quickly fixed any deficiencies. We were disappointed to find out on arrival that the AC was out of order (a long-standing problem about which we could have been notified to allow a decision to relocate), however a fan was provided, and with a balcony door and windows that opened the room temperature was comfortable. Location was great - a half hour walk to the Viaduct Quay and Ferry Terminal in one direction, and the Auckland Domain in the other, with a huge selection of shops and restaurants along both routes. Overall: clean, safe, very spacious room, conveniently located, and excellent value for the price. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Looking for a unique stay with friendly staff? This stay was one of the best in New Zealand and Ponsonby is a great area.

You always know what to expect at Hotel Britomart and everything is always on point. Excellent Hotel to stay in, in Auckland.

Parking was the real problem. Air con was too cold otherwise all good

Enjoyable stay. New, clean and comfortable as expected. Short walk across the air bridge to SkyCity and the carpark. Will stay again.

You always know what to expect at Hotel Britomart and everything is always on point. Excellent Hotel to stay in, in Auckland.

Great hotel with onsite restaurant and cafe. Very clean and staff very accommodating. Hotel is central and a 15 minute walk to the pier and/or the ferry or cruise terminal.
