9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,001 reviews)
It’s a cute boutique hotel, tastefully furnished, good staff.
However it is a 3 star at a 4* price (I’ve been to many 4 and 5 star hotels in Hawaii), it is tiny and there are no amenities: single restaurant, no outdoor breakfast, no pool staff helping with loungers and umbrellas, no beach service, no bikes, only valet parking (a hassle when you’re in Hawaii and need to take the car 4 times a day, a hassle having to manage a stash of 10$ bills to tip the valets).
When you look at it from the boardwalk, it doesn’t look any different than the adjacent 3* Marriott, other than the price.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,014 reviews)
The resort is beautiful and in a great location for the beach or walking around. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were all very kind and helpful! The key cards were bracelets which was so helpful for swimming and adventuring. I would recommend a room with an ocean view as the pool view is incredibly loud from dawn until after dark. And definitely plan on walking or driving a ways if youre not spending an arm and a leg for food/water.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (1,004 reviews)
Room was clean, staff were friendly, good amenities. A washer and drier in the room were invaluable. The gym had a small fridge of cool towels misted with lavender that were nice and refreshing. This was a very comfortable place to stay and we would highly recommend it.
There were some reviews stating there are no adult only pools. There is an adults only pool and jacuzzi near building 7 that was much quieter than the kid friendly pools.
