We only had one night at the Alex, but would have loved more! Stylish lobby, a useful common area one floor up, compact comfortable room and walk to everything in Perths CBD. Friendly staff, what more could you want!

Comfortable and clean facility with friendly and helpful staff. Chose it because it had a restaurant, onsite parking and proximity to major highways. Unfortunately let down by the restaurant and kitchen. Very long wait for meals, despite restaurant only being 1/3 capacity. Robot waiter, although cute, took meals to incorrect table and there was a delay for the human server to arrive and serve the meals. 3 out of 4 of our meals arrived at the table barely warm and had to be sent back. ‘Medium rare’ steak requested-served ‘well done’ and appeared to be a cheaper cut than described on the menu. At breakfast the next morning, ordered avocado on toast , avocado was underripe and very discoloured, as was also, the requested replacement. Did not eat in the restaurant again during our 3 day stay. Also, the phones in our rooms were difficult to use, and did not go through to Reception when dialled.

Great location, big room, balcony, renos going on which we didnt knownabout until after booking, great breakfast buffet for only 24 dollars, its a great stay for corporate people looking for a good rest location. Heaps of restaurants on the street below.

Great place central to everything

Excellent location in Scarborough. Spacious 2 bedroom studio room with all amenities required. Laundry room external to room on same level with free use of washing machine/dryer. Comfortable beds. Lovely balcony looking out to the ocean. Only downfall was minimal parking for guests and not many options along street.

I love the beds and the breakfast buffet at the Esplanade! It’s close enough to the strip for the markets and restaurants. Friendly staff.

Simple and fuss free hotel in a good location. Staff at check-in were fantastic and helpful, made us feel very welcomed when we reached early in the morning. Amenities like teas and hair dryer provided, but do bring your own toothbrushes 😁
