New Zealand Mountain Holidays

The cottages are well-appointed and set within an attractive vineyard setting. It is very remote and getting a taxi can be challenging and expensive. The facility has a bistro that is effectively of no use to guests as it closes, like reception and everything else @ 5.00 PM. Even breakfast has to be pre-orderedand delivered into your fridge the night before. Seems like the whole place is set-up for the owners and staff not guests. Particularly as there is nothing else around in less than 20 mins drive. That said, the tasting room experience, which showcases 5 wineries is well done.

They provided for all our needs, and were very helpful when we didn't arrive until 1 am because our plane couldn't land in Queenstown. The view from the dining room is stunning and the breakfast was exceptional.

Great location - very walkable into the centre of Queenstown (even if the hill was a bit of a challenge coming back to the apartment on foot!) We loved having kitchen and laundry facilities. We didn't have a rental car but there was parking available. It was also close to the bus stops. We had a view of the Gondola, so it was nice to watch that operating from our window. We loved walking out to see the view of Lake Wakatipu and Walter Peak every time we left the apartment to go somewhere. It was fairly quiet (with a no noise after 9pm policy in the complex), except for the noise from the garage door opening and closing after 9pm as cars came in and out. A different apartment in the complex probably wouldn't have that noise as we were directly above the garage door. The kitchen was quite well appointed, including a small air fryer, microwave, stove top and dishwasher. It was nice to have our own space for a week without having staff come in for any servicing, although it would have been good if the soap in the shower had been refilled before our stay, and one more roll of toilet paper provided. Overall, we'd recommend The Glebe for people looking for a holiday apartment in Queenstown.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin and it was exactly what we asked for. The place itself was warm and all the amenities were provided which was helpful. We found the staff very nice and accomodating and the free shuttle to town was a nice touch. Only comment on our cabin was that one of the wall heaters in the room wasn’t working
