Northern Beaches Fishing Holidays

We liked the spacious room with sitting area and balcony. Airconditioning was strong, and it has no adjustment, only on or off - the hotel even recommends turning it off at night! There is a ceiling fan however. Main pool was closed indefinitely, I think they could have let us know about that in advance... Smaller pool was OK, we didn't try the lap pool but others reported it very cold. Breakfast was a little disappointing for the price ($35/$38.50 on weekends), limited range and most of the hot food wasn't hot.

I booked this room for my husband & I to enjoy our honeymoon stop in Cairns - the view is what brought me in & I was very excited to stay. We arrived after regular check in hours so didn’t get to speak to staff. We arrived & the car park & property are located on a steep hill that makes it difficult if you have luggage to trek up to the building. Check in process was simple for after hours which was nice. I knew this would be a smaller room when I booked it as it is a studio, however photos of room and property to me were very deceiving. It’s as though they cut off a bedroom of a larger room to create an extra space to rent out. The bathroom is essentially a small closet with no privacy at all as it is about a foot from the bed which makes it hard to get around. The room didn’t feel clean. I found a dead bug on the kitchen table & there were many small bugs crawling around inside the bathroom & flying around the room. We understand where we are & that there are bugs, but they just kept coming after we would kill the ones we saw. We did not feel comfortable staying in the room but had no choice the first night. I will say - the bed was very comfy. But that’s as far as the good experience goes. We contacted Expedia regarding our concerns & the property refused to refund us & we ended up paying for a 2nd hotel & didn’t stay more than the first night here. We went back to the room to check and make sure we didn’t forget anything & it had been cleaned again - still missed the mark

Amazing property and perfect location for a family getaway. The team were so friendly and the property had everything we needed as a family of 5 with teenage kids. The area is beautiful and the cafes and restaurants on our door step made life so easy. Thanks for having us, we will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay, the 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 4, the location was a short walk to the main part of town and the marina, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

Nobody ever in reception, but that did not matter. Unit was perfect, best we have had in Australia. Good location

Had a very warm welcome on our arrival and discontinued throughout our stay. Our room was extremely clean and very well stopped. Possibly the best bed that we have slept in on our stay on our various days in Australia. And a pillow menu is always greatly appreciated. We have stayed in lesser Hotels better Hotels that do not offer this.

This is our 5th time staying at Coral Sands and we have loved it just as much as all the other times. The resort itself is just fab. Perfect swimming pool area with lots of different height levels for swimming abilities, pool water was like bath water and it was awesome that they provided lots of swimming toys like floats and snorkel masks. The general vibe is just chill and lush. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which had plenty of space, our favourite thing was to sit on the balcony area for all our meals and just listen to the waves. The BBQs are immaculate, we watched people cook on them every day and they were always sparkling every time. I think the rooms are a little tired so maybe could have a bit of a refresh at some point but otherwise I cant really fault the place at all and I can guarantee we will be back again for our 6th visit.
