The rooms were very spacious and very comfortable and very clean. Everybody was extremely helpful.. the breakfast in the morning was amazing. They have so many different selections.. comfortable beds and friendly staff with a clean environment-can’t ask for much more than that.. five minutes from Pier 39. It was a nice walk great area.

We were supposed to stay here from Friday-Sunday, but unfortunately due to a long flight delay we arrived close to midnight on Friday. As we checked in, we were told that they oversold rooms that night and will not be staying there. We were instead reserved rooms at the Westin across the street. I was not interested in staying at the Westin, but due to the long travel, we ended up staying the night to sort everything out in the morning. We decided to stay for the duration of the trip since it would only be another night, so we went about our day. We arrived back at the hotel around 11:45pm and our keycard stopped working at the elevators. We were told that Aloft only told Westin that we were only staying the night so we needed to be checked out of the room for other guests to take the room. The Westin staff just packed up all of our belongings without warning or calling and left all of our belongings in their storage until we came back. I was furious because we didn’t receive any heads up about the miscommunication and we already experienced so many inconveniences. This was the last straw especially after a long delay. They upgraded us to the top floor, but there was nothing different in that room except that it was on the top floor. I filed a complaint with hotels.com because of everything we experienced. I travel often and this is the first time anything like this happened. Completely unacceptable and I will not be returning to either hotels.

"The stay was actually very nice. Everything was as a good hotel should be. Never had an issue, the stay was top notch. The only thing I think you should look into more hot water capacity for showers, other than that our stay was great."
