Our stay was off to a disappointing start when we were checking in the hotel took a much larger security deposit than what was confirmed on my booking. Upon questioning the amount I was told it was because there was a concert on in town that night.

Pros: Unit was lovely & spacious & the kitchen had everything we needed. The reading books were a good idea. The pool on the top floor of the parking building had great views of the city & the lady on reception was friendly & helpful. Cons: The beds were only made up with sheets. When we pulled the doona out of the cupboard in the main room it was dirty. The 2nd room had been split into 2 beds but there was only 1 Q size doona in the cupboard so we had no blanket for the 2nd bed. It was handy having secure parking but getting to and from the car park in the neighbouring building was somewhat tedious - not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Overall we would recommend The Dalgety Apartments but hope they provide clean doonas/blankets for the next guests.

The room was clean and spotless. The room itself was small and dated. The staff were fantastic.

The carpets desperately need a shampoo. A few more drinking glasses would be useful. The microwave seems like a hazard with lots of exposed rust inside and there are no small sharp knives, just 3 really large serrated knives. Just could be better equipped.

Good stay in downtown Townsville

We could fault our stay here. The room was very compact but had absolutely everything that we needed. Even a small cooktop which is hard to come by these days without booking and apartment. The room was spotless, comfortable beds and pillows, large screen Tv with cable channel. Would definitely stay here again.
