Magnetic Island Adventure Holidays

This is a lovely quiet property, situated in beautiful grounds. The pool is nicely landscaped. No food or drink is available onsite but food is available close by. There is a games room and tennis court available. There is also a laundry room

I was upgraded to a harbour view room in building one from a car park view - so that was very grateful. But I more looked at an overgrown tree that obscured any Harbour view. The first door in building one to my door was humid and wet. Rusty stain running down the door on the inside. Room was two twin beds pushed together, but side tables not rearranged space wise so obvious they had just pushed the beds together. Booked on Expedia so no daily servicing of the room. On first morning alarm sounding since around 5am. Turned out it was the key pad of the unoccupied room next door - no one else could here it beyond the confined space of my room and that room so I had to listen to it for four hours before I went to the front desk.

Pros: Beautiful spot to stay and so accessible from the ferry over to magnetic island. Handy if you don’t want to rent a car on the island as the ferry is 2 min walk as is the bus stop which takes you to the main spots on the island. Also IGA and bottle shop a stones throw away. Apartment is spacious but isn’t quite like the photos, definitely more dated than the pics! In need of some TLC Pools are a lovely perk to staying here! Especially having 4 pools so I’d imagine they don’t get too busy. Rock wallabies easily sighted within the complex too 😻 Air con big bonus Cons: Apartment was okay equipped but a few things missing that would be ideal for a short term stay, and it wasn’t actually that clean. The showers were really grubby and hadn’t been properly cleaned. When we called to reception they had already closed, so we left a voicemail but didn’t hear back from them the following day.. Wine glasses had lipstick marks on them. Few things in the kitchen that were missing, eg olive oil etc, people coming for a weekend/short stay wouldn’t bring these with them nor would buy them from the shop.. No duvets for the bed even though there’s air con? There was a queen single duvet in the wardrobe but no sheet/cover provided for it? When we asked for these, they gave us just a spare sheet (not one you can put a duvet IN) Leather sofa in Australia I’ll never understand. Simple solution, provide a throw
