Booked our stay year ago. Got email 3 days prior to our arrival our balcony would be locked due to repairs. I complained they moved us to one with balcony. No smoking policy on all balconies. People room one over and on level below us constantly smoking cigars & cigarettes blowing onto our balcony. Tried multiple times to reach front desk, constantly busy signal. Told housekeeping Was told they would let security know. Nothing changed. Unable to enjoy our balcony due to constant smoking below raising up to our balcony. Ask for later checkout than 11am for later flight. Was told it would be full daily rate $329 for 5 hours. We had two mornings in row with blasting in room intercom speaker waking us up at 745am. Once saying it was active fire to evacuate immediately do not use elevators. We were on 24th floor, took stairs down. To find out it was false alarm. When reached lobby people were using elevators. Took them 35 minutes to sound all clear over intercom. When asked Julie front desk why didn’t they announce sooner her reply was I told security twice it’s their job to do that. Morning before it was power would be off for 15 minutes in 15 minutes went straight to the elevator they were already turned off. But not when you announced an active fire the elevators were never turned off? We Always stay at Marriott with excellent service, until this stay. Paid for our stay in full before we arrived. They placed $1600 hold card for resort fee, parking, incidentals. Very disappointe

Amazing hotel, I loved it so so much!! Waikiki itself was a little more hectic than I expected so I think next time I’d explore a different island. But the hotel was perfect and within walking distance of everything we needed
