Nice Stay

This our 3rd stay at Kandaya. Sadly, lots of upgrading is needed now. We first had a deluxe suite booked. Foul smell was coming from bathroom, TV wasn’t working well and air conditioned was not functioning well. We eventually moved to a villa, which was better but bathroom needs upgrading, tiles from the pool were coming off as well. Gym definitely needs a lot of upgrades. Air condition was always not properly functioning and ALL equipments were so old, most were taped off and too old to use. Expected more for spa accommodation, especially for the price. Staff is always friendly. Hopefully upgrades will be done, especially for the price.

We had an ok stay at Bluewater. I think things can be improved at this resort. We traveled with a 1 year old and they charged for glass of warm milk at night. Each evening the glass of milk was different sizes. Also there is no music at the beach side or at the pool area. The only music is live and at dinner time. They also charge for bucket of ice, if you order more than 1 bucket a day. Which is odd because they provide unlimited water to the room but the water is hot. So I’m confused as why they would charge for ice. The biggest thing for me is that breakfast buffet the food was not hot at all. Other than that everything else was fine. We had an ok stay.

this resort is one of my best and favorite resort so far since i stayed in the philippines for 2 months. Its my first time staying but i felt like 1 night is not enough. if i just known how beautiful the place is i would have stayed longer with my family. service is excellent, people works there are so helpful. I would love to tell everyone that this place is wonderful.

Definitely would not recommend. There are at least 4-5 other places on Mactan I’d highly recommend. We made reservations in a pinch and thought the kids might enjoy. Hotel staff never replied to a single message we sent prior to our stay. I dont think anyone at the hotel even knew what was going on or acknowledged the questions we had - which were pretty normal, ie arranging a car. I’d personally give this place a 1-2 rating. I’ve stayed at places in the Philippines for the half the price and 5x as nice.

I’m sure it once was a beautiful property, but the maintenance has gone. Also, some of the amenities weren’t even open yet. We actually left the resort to go somewhere else for our day.
