This is a fabulous property. Lovely location, fantastic and very helpful hostess, really comfortable and spacious. Our group of 5 loved the outdoor spaces and the sauna and cold plunge. Cyntra could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Cannot recommend Launde Barn enough - a super place to relax and recharge and close to great places to visit. Lisa & John

The barn was absolutely stunning, even better than the photos, and very well equipped. The beds were really comfy. It met the needs of everyone from a 2 year old to a 74 year old. The hosts have thought about everything .... providing towels and toiletries, ensuring there is a great choice of indoor and outdoor door games, there are even highchairs, a potty and a travel cot. The location is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. We got to stroke the alpaca who came to greet us and watch the birds of prey that were landing in the field behind. We would not hesitate to visit again. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the whole experience.

An amazing stay!

We had a short three nights stay, what a great break, super for us as a family, and really well set up for dogs too! Everything as advertised and a lovely secluded spot. We will be back!

We felt that the property more than met our expectations. Lovely lounge area, well-equipped kitchen, extremely comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the outside eating area and we hired a hot tub, which we loved. Would certainly book again.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful grounds

Such beautiful accommodation which had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for us and having the pool table and the assortment of games was great. The bonus of a sauna was great! The grounds were lovely with the sheep and Beebee the alpaca who was really entertaining. The woods were beautiful for a wander and we even managed to see the owl. Thank you for a perfect week.

Beautiful barn getaway.

The barn was absolutely perfect for our family get together. A real home from home. We all enjoyed our time thoroughly. Our hosts were very good at communicating which made organizing our stay much easier. Will miss waking up to see the alpaca and sheep in field opposite!

Fantastic Accommodation and Hosts

We stayed at Launde Barn for a family birthday celebration and I would recommend the barn and its hosts in a heartbeat! Barn was modern, smartly furnished, very well equipped (kitchen and outdoor games especially), and cleaned to a very high standrard. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space with the calming backdrop of the sheep.Cyntra and Marcus were very welcoming and communicative hosts from the outset. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Thanks for a great few days :-)

A wonderful find

Perfect for what we needed to get together as a family for the first time in years. Very nice property, thoughtfully ready for us and a lovely cake to welcome us. We had a wonderful four night stay at Launde Barn near York, and it was everything we’d hoped for and more. The barn is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing break. It strikes the perfect balance between rustic character and modern comfort.The location is ideal: peaceful and rural, yet close enough to York and also to the coast for easy day trips.The sauna is a lovely addition which we really enjoyed making use of.In the nearby village there is a pub that we visited for Sunday lunch. It's a short walk away from the property and the food was excellent.There is also a decent bus service from the village into York.The hosts clearly take great pride in the property. Communication was excellent from start to finish, with clear instructions and helpful local tips. It felt welcoming from the moment we arrived, and all the little details had clearly been considered.Overall, Launde Barn we had a truly relaxing and memorable short break. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable countryside stay near York, and we would happily return ourselves.

A beautiful barn in a great location

We rented the barn for four nights for a family birthday party. Everything is decorated to the highest standard with beautiful bedding, towels and soft furnishings. All the bedrooms are a good size. We loved the open plan kitchen and lounge and the dining space was perfect for our party. We were greeted warmly by our host and nothing was too much trouble. The outdoor space is fabulous and the village is beautiful. We had a wonderful time from start to finish.

60th Birthday Family Getaway

This house is beautiful, there is everything you may need and more. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyed, we were delayed in our arrival time and had ordered a food delivery which the host very kindly received and put away in the fridge. Peaceful and close to the Dales where we enjoyed lovely walks. The sauna and lumi pod was a nice treat too! Would highly recommend to anybody wanting a family get away. You will not want for anything, house is very well equipped and lovely lemon drizzle cake upon arrival. Thank you!!

Exceeded expectations!

My first thought when we got to the venue was ‘oh wow this is beyond what I expected!’ I was blown away at the beauty of the property and surroundings, the layout and finishing touches of the property make it so homely but still clean & well finished without being crowded. The extra touch of a homemade loaf and a little note was such a treat, everything had been thought of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I will definitely recommend to friends & family. Communication was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble me. Thank you Marcus & Cintra for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Lovely stay!

Great visit with family! The property was beautiful, very clean with lots of little details, lots of games, kitchen full of equipment and a lovely setting. Really easy to check in and out and the hosts were really friendly and very responsive. Would definitely recommend a visit!
