Friargate House - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 8

This imposing building on the corner of Friargate and Castlegate was built in the 1700s filled with history and character.

Close to the city centre, with Clifords Tower, the Tower Museum and Coppergate on the doorstep, Castlegate has a collection of bars and restaurants, and York Cocoa House is right next door.

The house has parking for one medium sized car right out the front, and is laid out over 4 floors, with three double bedrooms and one twin room.  The three double rooms have ensuite shower rooms, with the master suite also having a seperate bathing room.  The twin room on the top floor shares the bathroom on the 2nd.

Furnished and decorated to a high standard, this wonderful property is perfect for family get-togethers or staying away with friends to explore our historic city.

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal!! Walking distance to everything, we had SO much fun!! House was super comfortable, and was pleasantly updated with everything one might need. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Great communication and welcome instructions - clear, helpful and constructive. The house is wonderful, clean, warm and full of character (watch your head in some rooms). It is effectively located in the centre which means you don't need a car. 7 of us stayed and the house provided private space for us all. Main bedrooms all ensuite with bedding to match expectation. It is well maintained with all the facilities you would expect. Being in the centre can make it lively at times. Thank you for a great stay.

This is an elegant well kept property a short walk from the centre and it's sites, I pride myself on surprising our friends with the wow factor this didn't disappoint, we did have drunks urinating against the house and local bar getting bottle bins emptied at 5am, but this is a city and expected. Nevertheless would highly recommend for group of friends or extended family who want a good city break
