By the Riverside
Ideal little spot, loved it. I imagine in the nice weather it is absolutely gorgeous in the little Riverside garden. Our weather was cold but the view was of the river and there were ducks and lovely wildlife. House was clean and we were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and even bread, butter and milk, with teabags, coffee etc. Very pleased and would definitely go there again.

Fantastic house to explore York from.
Very easy to communicate with the owner Jayne. Immaculately clean with a large kitchen and towels, linen, dishcloths, tea and coffee all provided, and a lovely unexpected welcome in the fridge of prosecco, bread, butter and milk. Very clear wufi codes etc too.The garden is much bigger than expected and was lovely to sit in by the river. We all slept so well in very comfy beds. We will recommend the house and are planning back in the future. (The only thing missing was some kitchen roll, and to say there are stairs in the property, but neither caused us an issue.) We had a fantastic weekend. Thank you.

Amazing Place
This was an amazing place for my family (including 3 teens) to stay. Very clean, easy check-in, great kitchen facilities. Dedicated on-site parking right in front of unit. Great location. A little off the beaten path but very quiet and only a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and and the old city center. Close to several grocery stores. The hosts were very responsive. We had a kitchen appliance problem on a holiday but the hosts came out to the unit to fix the issue. Only one set of keys for the unit (previous guests had lost the second set and the hosts hadn't had time to replace) so we could not split up to do different things but the host intends to procure a second set. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great location only a short walk into town we loved the markets, side streets, atmosphere and cathedral we had rain, wind and snow all adding the Christmas feel in the air, sadly due to the weather we could not walk the city walls so will need to return 😃 the house was clean and comfortable we loved our long weekend break xx

A lovely place to stay
The property was perfect for our stay. It was bigger than we expected and the little garden at the back by the river was a lovely addition to the house. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were celebrating our son's graduation so the complimentary bottle of prosecco was much appreciated (as was the bread, milk and butter kindly provided). The location was great, a short walk from the centre of York. We would definitely recommend staying here.

What a hidden gem
This property is much better than the pictures show. It has comfy beds, big fluffy towels, lots of little touches, and a welcome pack. Everything was great. Communication with the host was prompt and reliable.

Absolutely fabulous!
We had a lovely stay. The location was excellent for the Barbican as we were going to see a show. Also very close to town centre so easy access. Lovely house, beautifully cleaned and presented. Lovely outdoor area for drinks in the sunshine by the river. Lots of space to sit in the lounge. Very spacious upstairs - comfy beds and pilllows. Definitely recommend this property and I will def be back. Thank you for the welcome pack too xx

Wonderful family vacation in York
This rental was perfect for our family of four travelling across the UK by car. Location was great and we enjoyed walking to most sites in York. Property was as advertised with everything we needed including some nice refreshments upon arrival, welcome after a long drive! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kieth and Jayne!

Wonderful stay
Couldn’t fault our stay. Property was well maintained, clean and welcoming (particularly the bottle of Prosecco!) Have stayed in area before but directions etc were vey accurate. We would all love to stay again, can’t say better than that.

Everything you need for a stay in York
Clean property equipped with everything you need for your stay. Quiet location with a small garden that overlooks the river. A short walk to the centre of York, but plenty of pubs and restaurants locally too.

A perfectly lovely place for a stay in York
This gem of a cozy house is just 5 minutes from the center of York and yet it is in a calm, smart neighborhood. The backyard overlooking the canal is where we took all of our meals, shaded by the trees in the evening. The bedrooms are nice and the beds very comfortable. It got warm while we were in York but we stayed cool with the windows slightly opened. The interior decoration in the kitchen and bathroom is very nice. Overall lovely stay and nice sleep.

We booked this for our pregnant friends hendo and the house was amazing. It was clean and so spacious. We had a bottle of prosecco on arrival too. The garden was lovely and we chilled in it a lot. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay
We have stayed before and would always use this property again if visiting York. Very clean, well equipped and it is only a ten minute walk to the centre of York. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and the free parking spot is very handy. I would through recommend a stay here.

Half Term Holiday
Myself, daughter and two young granddaughters stayed here for the Oct 19 half term. House is beautiful and very clean. Great location with parking and walking distance of York. Heating was on for our arrival and basics left so we did not have to do immediate shopping. We would definately stay here again. One minor point, bathroom floor is very creaky when walked on waking kids etc. Up in the night.

Incredible stay
The house was immaculate, well-decorated and clean. Most importantly it felt really homely. The view from the garden was amazing and the garden itself was well taken care of. It was very nice of Jayne to leave some eggs, juice, bread, and a bottle of Prosecco! The kitchen was well-equipped and we had a wonderful homecooked dinner for 5.

Back for the third time
This is the third time I have rented the house while attending a Conference at the Barbican Centre. The fact that I return is evidence that I really like the house. It is clean, beautifully decorated and the hosts are very helpful - they had some thoughtful touches such as providing several food items including bread, milk and Prosecco. Beds are comfortable, as is the lounge seating.

Exceptional. Beautifully decorated, clean and warm within 10 mins stroll of York.
The location was even better than we had hoped. A short 10 mins stroll from York centre (5 mins brisk walk) and yet so quiet and peaceful. The property is tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and well equipped.

We stayed here two years ago and would go back again. A lovely comfortable place to stay.
In easy reach of the city centre - a quiet location with a nice view of the river. Easy to drive to and parking. House is well maintained and met all of our needs - 2 adults and 3 children. The owners are really thoughtful and provide everything needed. We will come back again.
