Lovely cosy place ,walking distance to city centre . Very clean, very spacious bedrooms Would definetly stay again Only issue was the shower was temperamental to get the correct temperature but they have a bath as well .

Lovely house in a great and quiet location. Easy walk across the bridge(s) into the City Centre. Very clean generally and beds were very comfortable. Front room quite small but OK for the two of us. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location on a quiet residential street with parking permit. Short walk to river, siggts, shops, restaurants and pubs. Well appointed propery with very comfortable beds and good quality linen. Luck enogh to meet the owner who was lovely. Tea, coffe, milk and wine were a nice, welcome gesture. Agents are not providing the most up to date info - check the welcome book on site for wifi code and parking info.

The stay was great, the accommodation was very central to the center of town. There were two king/queen beds and not a queen and two twins as indicated in the property description. Pretty much everything one could think of regarding utensils, cookware, etc. was provided. The only drawback was that I didn’t receive the actual check-in instructions until the morning of the day of our arrival. Other than that the unit was great, the location was great and the price was great too. Would definitely book this place if visiting York again.

The location of the property is perfect as it is just a short walk from the Shambles and the Minster. The house was also very clean. One of the down sides is that the bed in the master bedroom is very hard; both my partner and I woke up sore. As well, communication with the property management company was difficult as they often did not answer their phone. They also did not call me back every time they said they would (though they did call me back promptly the last time I left a message). Whenever I did manage to speak with them, they had to call the property's owner each time I had a question. This added to the communication challenges. Nonetheless, it was a great place and we would likely book again.

Townhouse, not apartment!

Great location. It’s not an apartment like it states on Hotels.com, it’s an entire house which was a pleasant surprise. There’s a log burner in there that’s not mentioned in the facilities, seems to be defunct though, would have been lovely to have that burning on those cold nights. Would definitely stay again.

We spent a lovely 3 nights in York over the New Year weekend. Buckingham St is a short walk to the centre of York, and the city is a great place to wander the streets + enjoy specific places. The Minster is the highlight, but lots of other places to enjoy. Lots of eating places. We walked the walls (best when not raining) - and one way to access the walls is 5 minutes from Buckingham St. The house is a great base - and very peaceful and quiet despite its nearness to the city.

Beautiful house, quiet but central location.

This is a beautiful property. 10 -15 mins walk from most city centre attractions and from the train station, similarly close to Rowentree park, which is a lovely place for children to play. It is in a quiet residential area. Reed diffusers and feather cushions abd duvets were the only diwnside for me, otherwise I would have given it full marks all the way - if these things don't irritate your allergies then definitely book this property.
