We really enjoyed our stay here, the house was convenient for walking to the centre and there was plenty of shops/bars/restaurants nearby. Plenty of (permit) parking nearby also.

Great house, excellent location
We stayed at the property with our young family for a little over a month while relocating to York. It has everything we could have needed to make our stay comfortable: a fully equipped and high spec kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedrooms, and its location is fantastic.

Perfect family stay in York
This house and location were perfect for our stay when visiting York after Christmas. Everything was within walking distance, and being right next to the shops and cafés on the next road was a real bonus. The house was spotlessly clean, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into the layout and facilities.
We were a family of four with two children, and the space worked really well for us all. The furnishings and amenities were high quality, and we had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We were very warm despite the cold outside. The festive hamper from York Stays was very gratefully received, and the communication throughout was spot on.
Highly recommended, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you!

Lovely Xmas / birthday break
An absolutely lovely property to stop in for Christmas and birthday on the 27th. and visited my daughter who lives in York and only thing I was disappointed with was there was no Christmas tree !
However, they were other decorations, just a personal preference of mine! Also had a lovely surprise of a food hamper from stays York! such a lovely thought

Lovely house in a great location
An ideal house to use as a base to explore York. It's next to a mini high street with all the amenities.
We travelled by train and it was an easy 20 minutes walk from the station.
Clean, comfy and quiet even though there's a busy but excellent pub two doors down.
Brilliant welcome pack and Stays York were very responsive to our requests for a tea towel that was missing in the kitchen.
We both agreed if we visited again, we'd look to book this first.
Lovely property with open plan downstairs and two decent sized bedrooms. The house is well furnished and equipped with all mod cons. The location is perfect as York is less than 10 minutes walk and the Minster around 20.
Lots of great local cafes and restaurants adjacent too. On street parking arranged with letting owner.
Not an issue for us but stairs and steepish with slightly narrow treads and only 1 toilet being the only minor things.
We stayed as a family of 4 and it was perfect.

Very clean; well-equipped; good location
We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness of this property; it is also extremely well-equipped. The location is very good, both for ease of walking to/from the railway station (a little over half a mile) and for access to the centre of York (around 1 mile to York Minster). There is also a very useful local parade of shops and restaurants. In terms of comfort, the living area accommodated 3 adults adequately, but would have been a squeeze for 4; the TV on the wall is mounted a little high for comfortable viewing without reclining seating.
Great for families and east access to central York
We had a great time in York. The property was perfect- it had everything one could want and more.
Lots of information about restaurants and things in the area and very close to all of central York.
We really enjoyed our stay in this great wee house which is well situated within easy walking distance to the centre of York, we parked our car on arrival (the parking permit is very handy!) and never used it at all during our stay. The house is lovely, very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and a very well equipped kitchen so great to come home to in the evening after tramping the streets of York. Stays York were great to deal with, we would definitely stay here again next time we are in York.

Great place
Amazing property, good location. Amenities were well provided, they had everything. It was a cosy place, garden is a bit small but the property itself is very modern - highly recommend.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this immaculate property just a stone’s throw from central York and located just off the bustling Bishopthorpe Road with its cafes, delis and restaurants. The property itself is quiet, clean, with comfy beds and a great shower and is just all around gorgeous - when I posted photos of our break to let friends see, most of them commented on the loveliness of the house first! Well-equipped and light in a fabulous location and has a beautiful small courtyard garden with lovely mature roses and small bird visitors which we enjoyed so much. Stays York were also terrific in terms of customer service, check-in totally smooth etc. Amanda from Stays York is a particular star. Thanks to all for helping us have a wonderful stay!

Excellent stay
Location cannot be bettered, with all shops etc on Bishy Rd and then York City centre 10mn walk away. Very well thought out, especially the kitchen (despite alarming lack of corkscrew). Amazing shower. Slightly noisy if windows open (Nunnery Lane to front, deliveries at rear, whcih might be problematic if you're a light sleeper and it is full summer. In rainy May we had no issue. Courtyard is a real bonus and absolutely lovely.

Great house and very clean.felt very cosy and well equipped. Nice patio for summer.
Small issue with beds too soft for us but otherwise ideal for walking into york.
We have recently returned from staying at this lovely property near the centre of York and loved it! We were looking for somewhere to stay for a few days with our young child where we had our own space but not too far from the centre.
Booking and check in process very easy and parking next to the house on the road with pass provided.
Booking agent was very helpful ensuring we had the necessary items for a young child. e.g. travel cot and portable bath.
The only negative we found was that we booked during a heat wave and the house was very warm. Our daughters room especially and no fans/aircon in the bedrooms. However, this wont be a problem for most guests with the UK weather.
Next time we're in York, We will book this property again as were very happy with our stay! Thank you Stay York!
