"Once again i had a lovely time at the New Bath Hotel. The staff are most welcoming and nothing is too much for them. The food was amazing and came to my table hot and perfect. The only downside is that there is no longer any bottled water in the rooms which i do miss and must remember to get some before i get to the hotel. I also have seen quite a few dogs at the hotel which i have no problem with. "

"The accommodation was very comfortable and wonderfully quiet.The close proximity to pubs resteraunts and general amenities gave the best of both worlds, a countryside location but still accessible to things you need.I enjoyed making a connection with you Pam and look forward to getting to know you and Nick in the future.It would have been nice to get to know Nick better instead of a brief meet at the property which was my fault.You were perfect hosts knowing you were there if we needed you.Thankyou x"

"The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and a good size. The breakfast was hot and tasty. "

"Excelent communication from host with replies in minutes. The cottage is very cute and is in a very quiet spot with good parking and access to walking from the door. Due to head heights any body over 6 foot will need to be careful and wont be able to get under the shower, also anybody big would not be able to get into the shower cubicle as the screen is way too long. The cottage was not particularly clean though with mould in the small bedroom, dirty kitchen floor, dusty cups and plates. On stripping the beds i was horrified at the staining on the duvets and pillows. For the size of the cleaning fee it was disappointing. We certainly left it cleaner!"

"Property was lovely and clean with tasteful interior. Beds are comfortable and master bedroom in particular was huge with a lovely view. Local pub was great and in walking distance.We found the layout of the house to be odd, particularly the dinning table that is located in the entrance hallway with limited space around it. The window sills are low to the ground and easy for a child to climb onto. The windows open very wide, so we needed to keep the upstairs windows closed at all times as we have an active five year old who likes to climb. Not ideal in a heat wave!The hot tub shown in the photos IS NOT included with the property unless you book and pay extra for it. We missed this info as it's written right at the end of the property description. Making this clearer would help avoid disappointment for future guests. The garden swing that's shown in the photos is no longer there."

"The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. Our day always started with an excellent and leisurely breakfast which really set us up for a day of exploring and visiting attractions. There is lots to see and do in the local area; you can dive underground into some of the local guided cave attractions, ride in vintage cars, trams and trains, or fly through the air in a cable car. Back at The Bear Inn and after a full day out, you can wind down with the delights of a superb and varied menu, all washed down with well kept ale. The Bear Inn is a really old coaching house, steeped in history; lots of small rooms with exposed beams and fireplaces, make for a cozy and comfortable place to stay or just eat out. So, the next time we looking for places to stay in Derbyshire, The Bear Inn is right at the top our list. "
