"A really nice setting. Room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Only thing we would suggest improvement was breakfast. Two choices of cereal with same gluten free options wasn’t enough in my opinion. I don’t like chocolate Krispies or muesli so as I didn’t want a hot breakfast it was just toast for me. It would have been nice if the croissants were warm too."

"The house itself is stunning, the location is so quiet and so beautiful. Amazing views across to the windmill and down a little track so feels private. Village is lovely, friendly people and easy access to lots of local outings, =Chatsworth House worth the drive. Honesty bar and greeting gift were a lovely touch. The Black Boy recommendation was well-deserved, fab food.Massive bedrooms with comfy beds, entrance boot room ideal for getting in/out the house and all the junk! Gorgeous decorating, open space and social areas are great, everyone loved the indoor and outdoor games. Spot on communication and nice clear instructions to get there, the sign on the fence really helped us spot it. Fake grass meant we could use the garden even when it rained. Juglans barn is quite new to rental so we suggested a few modifications to the owner and they were open and welcomed our suggestions. When we stayed the main bedroom upstairs didn't have blinds or a door to make the most of the view (it's sort of an open suite of rooms set up), it didn't cause us any issues but we did suggest some form of privacy/blocking out the light might be useful. It does get quite warm upstairs but not unbearable if you open windows. I'd really recommend Juglans Barn."

The owner helpfully described the bus stop location when calling for the keycode.Busy road - but expected by its location.We didn't find instructions about bins and recycling.A bit pricy - but good quality finish of the lodge acknowledged."

"Located 15mins from Matlock, this property is in an excellent quiet location. Beds comfortable, Hot Tub which was clean and perfect temperature the moment we arrived. Odd bit of maintenance Ive informed the owner about but did not affect our stay. Communication was constant throughout the stay answering questions we had almost instantly. Really nice touches like washing up liquid, condiments and small things you would not expect from a vrbo property. The games room which was a hit with my kids. We would come back and recommend "

"My best friend and I stayed here and we couldn't be happier. It's even more beautiful than the pictures, and the host was so easy to reach if we had any questions or concerns. As an American we were a little nervous because it is a small local village, but everyone there made us feel like locals and were very welcoming when they met us. Can't recommend this stay enough, already talking about staying here next year."
