Lovely hotel, great food

A last minute booking but we weren't disappointed. Tastefully decorated, clean bedroom, spacious bathroom. No onesite parking but there is a carpark right across the road.

The Lion Hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Clearly recently decorated to a high standard the quality of materials used were also reflected in the way the bedrooms were furnished and clean crisp linen on comfortable beds

Trefor the manager was great. Very helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was bright and clean. The facilities were great. The bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant were nice and I enjoyed the live music and quiz night.

Overall not too bad

Our overall stay was great, however , we had issues with several things in the room, the shower door did not close, the lighting was extremely poor, the dispensers in the bathroom didn’t work and our kettle was filthy. The room was clean and newly refurbished and the tea and bottled water was plentiful. The breakfast was delicious.

AMAZING STAY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was my families third stay at the Minster Arms and it went great. Hannah (manager) and Penny (asst manager) took wonderful care of our family. Great service! The food in the pub was also amazing. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the place!

Lovely place to stay. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately the Expedia website is misleading - there is NO on site car parking. The only parking available is in Pay & Display car parks nearby.

AMAZING SUITE

I would definitely recommend the Pinot Noir suite to anyone who is happy to climb up the stairs!! This was amazing value and more of a suite than a room with freestanding bath as well as shower room. Luxurious look to the decor. I am told that the blinds for one window are on order so there will be a black out option. I was not woken up by the traffic although the pub is right on the road. Breakfast was included and wwwwonderful.

the hotel was fine. What needs to be made clearer is that the car park is actually a Dorset Council run pay and display between 8am and 6pm. Also the hotel is on a busy junction in Wimborne and is noisy at the peak hours.
