Thimble Thatch is a traditional thick stone walled, thatched roof cottage which retains all of it's original charm!

Sympathetically renovated and furnished to be cool but comfortable.

There are several places to spread out in the property which makes it great for families and groups who don't want to tripping up over each other!

We are professional, local hosts which can be available when needed.

Wimborne town is only a 4 minute drive up the road and offers a wide variety of excellent pubs, restaurants, shops and even a Waitrose supermarket!

All the local award winning beaches are no more than 20 minutes away!

Girls trip to Wimborne

Lovely cottage, clean and quirky decor in kitchen. Could do with a light in porch but not a big deal. Would definitely recommend

Lovely property for a weekend with family.

My family and I had a lovely stay over the weekend at this cottage. Our host kindly allowed us to check in early and out late (especially helpful given the changing clocks!). It's a beautiful home and really well maintained. I would caution anyone planning to cook that the kitchen is not stocked and the dishwasher did not work. Considering the general phone signal is poor it was a shame the wifi didn't work but we weren't relying on it. Other than those small inconveniences we had a very nice time. Thanks for having us!

Warm and cozy cottage

Great time but a few “niggly bits” which brings the star rating down. No instructions for anything Tumble dryer didn’t tumble No “live” T V No spare lightbulbs - quite a few missing Dishwasher didn’t clean very well

House is fine damage deposit is misleading

Damage deposit of £350 taken on arrival day, taken again after 4 days and taken again on departure day. Payments not started to be released until a week after return so at one point over £1000 held on credit card. This was not made clear before rental. Called vrbo who said they would talk to landlord once I sent image of bank account, 10 days later and no reply to my many emails so vrbo customer service is rubbish. Showers are poorly maintained and hard to use, tv requires you to log in to use it so not ideal. Pity because apart from that it was good.
