Scenic River Property

We had a great stay at the River Lodge! We really enjoyed the shared space upstairs with the shuffle board, pool table and air hockey. The rooms were very comfortable and cold. Restaurants and shops are a short drive away. The property is on the river. It’s very scenic. We saw deer and lots of birds. If the owner could add more kitchen items such as a toaster/ toaster oven, it would be perfect. There is an induction hot plate so we were able to make breakfast everyday. The outdoor propane grill needed a new tank and property management had one there within a couple of hours. We were very impressed! Beautiful property!!

The rooms are very large and well equipped with a firm mattress, dresser and nightstand. The bathroom was small but there was added shelfing for toiletries. It was nice to have our own coffee pot (very nice coffee makers) in each room but there were not cups. We had to use the cups from the upstairs kitchen. It was not clear that the rooms and living area was all in the barn as the site referenced the "main house". The first 2 doors we tried to enter had screen doors on them so we did not see the keypad on the door but rather the combo lock next to the door. We discovered the keypad on the door when trying to access the 3rd room that did not have a screen door. We were not aware that to enter the living area upstairs, everyone had to go outside of their rooms, around the building to access the outside door to the upstairs. Once we got the lay of the land, it was a very enjoyable weekend.
