"Housekeeping not too attentive "

"Hotel is located in a great location within easy walking distance to local restaurants, or to free shuttle to downtown area. Rooms are very well appointed inside. Was very disappointed after notifying check in staff that we were celebrating special occasion, that are our first floor room looked out to parking lot, with car parked within 2 feet of large sliding windows. As I had requested room suitable for celebration, and was willing to pay for upgrade - I assumed the room provided was the best the Hotel offered. After walking around in area, we noted that the room we were allotted was actually in the worse location possible. I approached front desk staff. The staff person told me that any available upgrades were often provided to patrons that booked direct with hotel, but not through booking of 3rd party sites. After celebrating with curtains of room closed as to not look at cars parked almost against our window, I did speak with manger the following day ( who was the staff member who checked us in). He apologized, then offered us complimentary upgrade, but we declined as we were only there one more night, and the occasion was already past. The manager also indicated that it was not the policy of the hotel to only offer upgrades to patrons that booked direct with the hotel. "

"I would suggest if you want a clean place to stay this is not it. We had no electricity due to rain I’m guessing.?? The bathtub had mold around it and mold in corner of living area with a dehumidifier hiding it. Spider webs , dirty, blinds broke, the beadboard was cracked all over the bathroom. Then they had totes of clean linens right outside rooms for them to change later I’m guessing that we almost tripped over carrying our luggage. The place needs an overhaul inside and out. "

"The room was fine but the neighborhood and building are a bit run down. Breakfast had limited options. For the price, it was a little disappointing. "
