Tadpole Cabin at Creek Road Farm
Nestled atop a hill on 60 pastoral acres in Wildwood, Georgia, this charmingly rustic one room cabin makes for an ideal family basecamp for local adventures or a romantic couples getaway. The cabin is newly constructed from 150 year old barn timbers and surrounded by shady forests and open pastures. The rest of the world may feel far away, yet Tadpole is only minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Cloudland Canyon State Park and most other area attractions. The perfect escape from everyday life.
The Space Creek Road Farm is a 60-acre farm that’s been family-owned for almost 50 years. Aside from the cabin, there is main residence on top of the hill, a barn, work shed, garden and greenhouse. The central barn is flanked by two pastures with two more pastures on the back side of the hill bordered by Lookout Creek. Lookout Mountain looms above from the east.
Guest access Guests are free to roam the property at their leisure. Walk down to Lookout Creek and drop a line in the water for bass and bream. Hike around the property along old farm roads and logging trails. Stop at the barn and feed the chickens. Or visit with the farm animals: Tater, the pig; Lily and Muffin, the goats; Buddy, the farm dog; and Mango, the shy, orange tabby cat.
The owners live on the property, with Tadpole Cabin itself located in its own secluded nook, out of view of the owner's residence.
Lastly, pets are more than welcome at Tadpole for a one-time $50 fee that covers all your pets for the duration of your stay.

This was our second time staying at Tadpole cabin, and won’t be our last. The kids love the cabin and spending time with the goats, chickens, and pig. Great location - very quiet and beautiful property, but not too far from local attractions. Highly recommend!
Every detail of this cabin was so clearly though out to make it feel like it's been there forever while simultaneously being super clean and functional like a new build. The setting couldn't be more peaceful. The thick woods around the home make it feel like you are truly in the middle of nowhere. Exploring the property, especially the trek down to the river, added a sense of adventure for our family and we all had an amazing time.
Such a joy to stay for the first time at Tadpole Cabin and Creek Road Farm. Beautiful, comfortable and enjoyable! We hope to return sometime. Thank you for hosting us!
Absolutely amazing stay. So peaceful, the cabin was wonderful, clean, and organized as well. Thank you for such a beautiful time! Highly, highly recommend!
Me and my wife loved the little cabin. It was perfect for a couple and we got to see the animals in the morning before we left. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect cozy little cabin felt like home away from home. The pictures don’t do it justice in person. It was very clean and had everything we could ask for and more. We were only gonna stay one night but we loved it so much we stayed another night. The owner was very nice with communication and was able to get us booked another night without any issues. The location was perfect and made our trip to Chattanooga TN the best. Everything was within reasonable driving distance as well. We will remember Tadpole cabin and if we ever travel out this way again we know where we will be staying. Highly recommend.
Great location and relaxing stay in the country with plenty of amenities. Loved sitting by the fire in the morning with our coffee enjoying the outdoors. Perfect for our mini vacation and enjoyed walking to the barn to see the animals.
Cabin is exactly as described, very clean and all amenities needed are there. Location is perfect for hiking the local trails. On property farm yields fresh eggs for breakfast if you want! Highly recommend
This cabin is the best hidden gem! Perfectly decorated and comfortable! The John Denver record added the best touch. We will definitely be back to this place.
COZY & COMFY. When we arrived, we admired the design & decor of the cabin then checked out the creek. The picture book of the Tadpole Cabins construction told a respectable story. Later, we thoroughly enjoyed a cold night out by the fire pit; everything we needed in order to do so was there. The tempature inside was a little chilly, yet tolerable. The space heaters, extra blankets, & Ginger Lemon Tea were much appreciated. The bed & bedding were EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE!! Being a Disabled Air Force Veteran, comfortable sleep is valueable to me. I was impressed and did not want to leave.Unfortunately, we didn't have time to socialize with the animals on the farm or checkout the goodies in the barn. I also regret not drinking BOTH bottles of water, the one I had was very refreshing! We do plan to return (and stay longer).
Great location, and unique cabin. Loved the farm dog and other animals too!
Awesome views and location. Now I’m trying to talk my husband into moving to this area. Beautiful country. The owner was friendly and had good communication…nothing negative at all to warn people about. The cabin was clean and comfortable
Incredibly cozy cabin with a lot of entertainment located on the property (farm animals, fresh eggs, walking paths, creeks, ponds, picnic areas, yard games, etc). Amazing to experience secluded country life and only be 15 minutes from Chattanooga!
Our time at the Tadpole cabin could not have been better! The cabin itself is so comfortable and well done and the property is just beautiful - there are trails and a creek to explore so we spent plenty of time roaming around with our dogs. Patrick was so welcoming and easy to communicate with. I was so sad to leave after only 2 days. I'll be booking a longer stay next time!
Stayed the last 2 days of our Thanksgiving week vacation here. Should have spent the entire week here. Tater Tot the pig, quiet, plenty of space, clean cabin, plenty of firewood, and trails to walk. Of everything we did that week, the stay at this little cabin was the highlight. Will be back and just spend the entire time sitting around the fire pit and talking to Tater.
We had a great stay at Tadpole cabin! The location is beautiful and private and you can tell a lot of care went into the construction of the cabin. We enjoyed visiting the farm animals and walking the trails on the property. Our dogs enjoyed themselves, too, especially when Buddy the farm dog came to visit. I searched through so many cabin rentals that pack cabins together like sardines before I found this gem. If you’re looking for a quiet countryside escape, you can’t beat Tadpole cabin.
Tadpole is charming and peacefully nestled within the woods where the crickets and tree frogs serenade by night.
The cabin was spotless! The decor comfortable and cabin chic. The kitchen provided for all needs and was extremely clean and organized in detail.
We thoroughly enjoyed both porches, the fire pit supply of wood, and trails to the creek picnic area. Fresh eggs made a nice breakfast and we were like little children feeding and petting the animals. It was the peacefulness standing in the doorways that truly captured what Tadpole offers a traveler.
The perfect cabin to spend time with your grandchildren before they grow up and become into their own. The setting is part wilderness and working farm (with VERY friendly animals). It nice not having a TV so there was a lot of time to sit around a campfire and tell ghost stories to each other! Remember those days?! DO NOT past-up this cabin while you are in north GA. You'll be missing something that will "haunt" you for a very long time!
The cabin is perfect for a family of 4 (we have two boys ages 4 and 8). There was no TV, which meant our family had to unplug and truly appreciate what was around us. This cabin is nestled on a hilltop amidst some trees on a quaint farm, where you can pet and feed the animals through a fence. There is hiking right on the property that takes you down to a rather large creek that I’m sure would be great for fishing. It’s minutes away from downtown Chattanooga (great eating and kid friendly; eat at The Hummus Bowl) and attractions like Ruby Falls (underground waterfall), which was truly an incredible experience. We will absolutely return and would recommend to anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle that is gatlinburg/pigeon forge/sevierville.
