About this property

Welcome to our cozy slice of the North!

  • Escape to a peaceful off-grid cabin built in 2025, surrounded by wilderness—perfect for solo travelers or couples looking to disconnect and recharge. This cozy 550 sq ft retreat sits privately at the back of a 10-acre property in Grizzly Valley, offering expansive forest and mountain views. With no development beyond the cabin, you’ll experience true quiet, privacy, and connection with nature. The open-concept main floor includes a comfortable living area, kitchen, and arctic entry. Large windows bring in natural light and showcase stunning views year-round—you may even catch the northern lights on clear nights. Upstairs, a lofted sleeping area with a queen-size bed creates a warm and restful retreat.
The cabin runs on solar power, supporting lights, a mini fridge, tv, WiFi, and device charging. Heating is provided by a propane furnace and a wood-burning stove, creating a cozy atmosphere year-round.
The kitchen includes a propane stove and oven, along with essential cookware, oil, spices, and coffee (French press style).
Water is stored in a 60-gallon tank and typically lasts 3–4 days with normal use. We’re happy to refill it during your stay if needed.
For relaxation, you’ll find a TV, books, movies, board games, and a small workspace.
Outside, enjoy a private porch, fire pit, and access to informal trails leading through the forest to a quiet lake.

Guests have full access to the entire cabin, including the loft, kitchen, living space, and outdoor areas.
You’re welcome to explore the surrounding property and nearby informal trails, including the trail leading to a small lake.
Parking is available directly beside the cabin. Please note that space may be limited for larger vehicles or trailers, and turning around can be tight.
Maps and additional information are provided at the cabin to help you explore safely.

We respect your privacy and want you to fully enjoy the quiet and seclusion of the cabin.
That said, we live on the same 10-acre property (in a separate cabin) and are available if you need anything during your stay.
Due to limited cell service, the best way to reach us is via the vrbo messenger or Whats App . We’re always happy to help with anything—from questions about the cabin to local recommendations.

This is an off-grid cabin experience, best suited for guests who are comfortable with a more rustic and nature-focused stay.

    Please note:
    No indoor bathroom or shower
A private outhouse is located ~50 ft from the cabin
No cell service at the cabin (signal returns about a 5-minute walk away)
Solar power limits the use of high-energy appliances (no microwave, toaster, kettle, etc.)
Water is stored in a tank and should be used mindfully
Wildlife is common in the area, including bears, moose, and small animals. Guests should take normal precautions when exploring.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to unplug, enjoy nature, and experience true quiet—this is the perfect spot.
