Abbey View Bagdale is a truly delightful two bedroomed apartment located in the centre of Whitby. Enjoying an elevated position, the apartment offers stunning views over to the Whitby Abbey. This comfortable apartment offers a great layout and is a spacious apartment for couples or a small family. Offering a king size bedroom and a single bedroom. It offers the added benefit of parking on a first come first served basis which is one of five parking bays with a garage for a vehicle in the same courtyard and outside space, as well as parking scratch cards as a fall back, this property truly has a lot to offer. If you are looking for that seaside feel this light and airy, yet cozy apartment is the one for you. Within walking distance to town and all the local attractions this is an ideal apartment for anyone wanting to be close to the town centre but still offers a peaceful retreat with lovely views. The apartment is within walking distance to the beach, Whitby Spa Pavilion Theatre and beautiful tearooms and Whitby’s famous fish and chip shops you will be spoiled for choice for your activities on your stay.

Accessibility: Courtyard is level gravel. From the courtyard on the outside are 33 staggered steps leading to the apartment with handrail support on one side. It is well lite. This is broken down into flights, the first of 16, second of 4, next of 3 and the last one of 10. The 33 steps are each 3 foot wide, 1 foot deep and 7 inches high. The front door step is 3 foot wide and a foot deep and 6 inches high. The apartment is all on one level floor access. There are no high or low thresholds or door frames. Light switches are traditional height and not wheelchair height. Doorways measured from their narrowest sections are: Front Door – 82 cms. Living room – 80 cms. Kitchen – 80 cms. Store room – 80 cms Bathroom - 71 cms. Main bedroom 70.5 cms. Small bedroom – 70.5 cms.
Hallway: Entering a welcoming and spacious hallway with coat hooks, mirror and table with all the must need information for your stay and a book shelf offering lots of books for you to get stuck into on your stay. Leading to all rooms in the apartment. Shower room: A well-presented shower room with a toilet, hand basin, shower cubicle, towel rail and mirror. Kitchen: A well equipped kitchen offering an electric oven, grill and hob, a full-size fridge and freezer and washing machine. A well-organized kitchen the perfect place to rustle up your favorite meals after a day of exploring at the beach. Lounge: A beautiful spacious lounge with stunning views to sit and enjoy with your cup of tea or glass of wine. Offering 2 large two-seater sofas a lovely space to sit and socialize in or watch your favorite movie with its wide screen TV offering fibre65 BB Netflix, freesat channels and a DVD player there is also a CD player with bluetooth, so you can enjoy your favorite music. This room is lovely and light with a double window showcasing the views but can also be cozy with the added benefit of an electric feature fire place for the chillier evenings. Bedroom One: A beautifully presented single bedroom offering a single bed, 1 bedside draws, 1 chest of draws, lamp, cupboard with hanging space and a small dressing table. Master Bedroom: A stunning master bedroom with stunning views to the Abbey offering a kingsize bed, two bedside tables with lamps, dressing table with a stool, TV with Netflix’s, hanging space in a large wardrobe, chest of draws and bedroom chair. Patio: A small court yard offering a table and chairs a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
NB: Garage is 6 foot high, 6 foot six wide and 16 foot six deep but allow several inches clearance either side. A small car will fit easily and a medium sized car if the garage is approached with all wheels straight. It is not suitable for a large car.
Please on departure also depart the car park if you are in a parking bay as the cleaner may need access for her car at 10:00. There is a W zone parking scratch card provided with the Welcome pack in the event you do not find a free parking bay on arrival and your car is also too big for the garage. You can also use this on departure if you plan to stay in Whitby longer. There is a laminated W zone parking map on the cork notice board in the kitchen to assist. Please return this map for other guests to use.
Entry is by wall key safe. The Code will be provided before arrival.
Arrive: 15:00 Depart 10:00. Please use scratch card provided with Welcome pack for W zone parking on departure at 10:00 if wish to stay in Whitby longer.

David and Marie, where nothing but accommodating, the apartment was spotless and in a fantastic location with great views. My wife, I and our 2 year old loved our holiday.
Really lovely accommodation. Very clean and comfy. Ideally situated for the town and coastal walking. Good standard of décor and accessories. Great comfy beds.
1stly the owner are so lovely I asked so many questions in advance and nothing was a problem such a lovely couple.
The apartment is beautiful the pictures really don’t show how beautiful, it’s cosy, has everything you need, great location and the added little touches just blow you away.

We spent 4 weeks in England and this apartment was the highlight for our 5 night stay in Whitby. We felt so comfortable there as we had everything we needed for our stay. It was only minutes away from the train and bus stations. Many restaurants and eateries also only a very short walk away. We were well informed about the steps to the apartment and they were easily managed, but taking a bit longer with our suitcases on arrival and departure. We would highly recommend staying at David's apartment!
My wife and myself have stayed in numerous properties over the years and have to say this is up there with the best. Communication with the owner David has been excellent.
The property is so clean and tidy and well looked after. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything you should need.
The bathroom shower had excellent flow and always hot.
The location is perfect as its a few minutes walk from the centre so not far to grab fish and chips from Magpies.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.
