By way of reply on your biking comment, Vail runs one of their many Whistler shops from the lobby of our building (The Aspens). It transforms from ski shop in winter to bike shop in summer and since you were here early May, they are in the transition now. They’re re-opening is the May long weekend (17). So normally guests need walk no further than our lobby for world-class gear to buy and rent. Thank you David for the very kind review! We want guests to feel our home away from home is exactly that and fully equipped is part of the package! Yes you are correct indeed the building is buzzing when ski season is in full swing however our top floor penthouse remains quiet! The Aspens transforms in summer though with one of the biggest, sunniest pools in Whistler and with lots of biking and hiking trail options right from the property. Having a Vail/Whistler Blackcomb run bike and ski shop in our lobby is a huge plus and really flips that winter-summer switch! And no village noise regardless low season or high! We’d love to have you back again!

But it still brings a big smile to read the comments of yet another happy guest! When we bought the new sofa beds we knew they had to be the highest quality and comfort considering how well guests using the king bed have it…! The upgraded memory foam makes a huge difference and well worth the investment. After you checked out we installed a new custom made wall unit to house the entertainment smorgasbord. Made of thick live edge maple like the rest. Of course. I’ll have to update the pictures again soon. Please do come again! Sincerely, Leo

I would say it boils down to property self-management, an excellent long term relationship with our top notch cleaning company and perhaps most important are our frequent visits from our home in North Vancouver which explains why guests want for nothing at our home-away-from-home in Whistler. When we visit we want comfort, cleanliness and high quality and so that’s what everyone else gets too! LOL!! Thanks Brian. Crankworx has become an enormous success for Whistler. Told you!! ;) Frankly the crowds for the finals are the largest all year round now. And that is including the big winter holiday weeks. Crankworx is definitely a huge event and a big draw! On that our building, -The Aspens’ free bike valet is a big plus all summer as is the bike wash station and the lobby bike shop run by Vail. And it was great communicating with you too. The Aspens’ pool is one of the largest pools in Whistler and it’s location/placement means it’s in the sun all day long. And it is extremely well cared for as is the whole building thanks to an excellent hands-on Strata council and the best maintenance crew anyone could ask for. The Aspens really does have it all. That is very kind Heidi. Thank you! I'm surely about to jinx myself but here goes anyway... Keeping a "5/5 Exceptional" rating now over 116 reviews and counting...., takes some TLC. (And to have kept it at 5/5 so many times also seems extremely rare for all the searching I've done on VRBO and the sister companies.). I'm also probably extremely fortunate to have had such considerate guests who treat our beautiful place gently and with respect. I get a real sense of accomplishment when that little bit extra info or help or whatever...., is commented on by guests before, during and/or after their vacation at our home away from home. That said it's all about Clean, Comfortable, Consistency. That and being "present" for our guests. (Cyber Concierge? lol?) We use our place often so our guests enjoy the benefit of wanting for nothing! It's all there! (bet while you were enjoying the hot weather and pool last week though you didn't use the boot and glove dryers too much?! LOL!).. Thanks too for the plug on the ski-in ski out (in the middle of July?). Being such a frequent visitor you know it simply doesn't get any better than The Aspens Thank you so much. Please come again.
