We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in unit 58 at the Gables. The bedroom on the main floor was great for my wife and I, while our son, daughter-in-law and grandson used the upstairs master, which included a “bonus” bedroom with bunk beds for our grandson. We had plenty of space. The condo even had Legos that our grandson enjoyed. Heated floors were very nice on cold mornings! Kitchen was well-stocked, although there was no blender so we had to forgo smoothies.
There is 1 garage parking space reserved for unit 58 and we were also able to secure a guest parking spot using the pass included with the condo. When we arrived in the late afternoon, there were several available guest spots, but they filled up soon after. They are available on a first come basis, so keep that in mind if you have more than 1 vehicle.
Best of all was the perfect location! The Blackcomb gondola is a 5 minute walk away, as are rental store and Whistler Kids ski school. Whistler village is less than a 10 minute walk, especially if you take a short path through the trees behind the condos, which leads to the paved walking path to the village (and gondola in opposite direction.) We never once drove our car during our entire stay!
We would definitely stay here again!
