The room was beautiful, the common areas warm and inviting. Margaret, the owner could not have been more welcoming. I can't wait to plan my next visit.
The host was very personable and accommodating. Building and rooms had great charm and breakfast was delicious! Loved doing a couple’s massage right in our room. This made for a perfect birthday getaway! Will definitely return!
Our hosts were delightful and very knowledgeable about all things Cape Cod. In fact they made our stay very enjoyable. If you like B&B's and historical houses then this is the place for you to stay. Breakfast was above expectation and felt like lord and lady of the manor.
Luxurious four poster bed in spacious room. Great breakfasts, gracious and helpful hostess. We got in late and wine was waiting for us to enjoy with the other guests, before everyone turned in for the night. Located in the west Cape so not too far from the mainland but great location from which we explored the rest of the Cape, including a day trip to Provincetown. Definitely recommended!
Unique atmosphere in warm environment. Rooms are in typical style and very well furnished: breakfast is delicious and owner is great. Very very recommended,

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Hosts were extremely nice and accommodating. They were very helpful in making recommendations for restaurants, sights, activities, etc. AC in common area made most of house very warm, but in room worked just fine. unfortunately this made us want to stay in our room versus taking advantage of the common space. The house's history added to its charm.
If you're looking for a Traditional Inn experience, this one is for you. Lovely hosts and breakfast spread. Creaky floors and old world charm. Afternoon snacks and cookies with a glass of wine or juice upon arrival. Nice outdoor firepit for the evening too. True it is on a busy street but there was no noise. But if you're looking for something more modern, this one's not for you. When we saw there was a whirlpool tub, we though it would be for 2, not 1. The breakfast was too simple for us. We like to have a planned entree for breakfast, not just a choice of eggs/meat. They cooked to order which is very nice for some. We just like the experience of having a set menu and a surprise of what that day's breakfast will be. It's just a matter of preference. Our favorite Cape Cod Inn is still Captain Farris with their surprise breakfast menus each day and 2-person jacuuzi tubs! But this was a very lovely stay, just nothing special.
My husband and I were looking for a quick relaxing getaway. We booked Bursley Manor via hotels.com as we were driving to the cape. We were pleased with the accommodations and the graciousness of innkeeper, Shiela. Sheila welcomed us and assisted us with suggestions for dinner. The next morning she offered a wonderful breakfast from cereal, yogurt, fruit to eggs and bacon. We were able to take a tour of the inn...and we look forward to returning in the Fall.
Was the only one at the B&B on a wet autumn Friday night. Got the warmest imaginable welcome.....the hosts couldn't be more generous. Only stayed one night; bed was comfortable, bathroom (with jacuzzi) spotless, wi-fi free. Was offered a slew of breakfast options the next morning, opted for granola which was presented with delicious sliced berries. No complaints whatsoever, but if you're over 6' tall, do duck going up the stairs to the second floor! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Wonderful B&B, although a bit pricey. Sheila was so warm and our room very spacious and pleasant. Breakfast was always delicious!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Okay stay
My overall stay was okay, but I feel like the B&B could have been cleaner. The comforter and pillow on bed had a stale musty smell. So, we made sure to pull it all the way back and use blanket. The breakfast was okay. The fruit; however could have been fresh. I hate when bananas start turning brown and when they do, they should not be served to guest. Also, the silvetware had food particles on them, which was obvious. So, I am not sure why the table was set with them. The host Sheila was nice and informative, but I would advise her to hire a cleaning lady to really give the place a good cleaning. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 4.
I stayed here rather than the resort at which my conference was held- great choice. The bed was comfortable, and the room very clean. Breakfast was simple, yet good. Being met at night with a glass of wine was wonderful
I thought that the hotel was extremely clean, the rooms were very well kept and alsmot brand new. It was very cozy, if you are looking for a cozy romantic getaway this would be the place to stay. The service was great, and the food was amazing and very fresh. Breakfast is made for you on the spot! The one thing that was not as convenient as i would have liked was the distance from the other towns. There was not that much actiion going on in Barnstable, and it is about a 20 minute drive to get to the other cities from The Bursley Manor, BUT it is very easy to find and close to both the highway and scenic route.
If you value peace and quiet in old world charming surroundings, this is the spot. A beautiful old house, furnished sympathetically, it's just the ticket for anyone looking for gracious living in a great location. Highly recommended.
The proprietress is warm and welcoming and makes a great breakfast!
There is a lovely patio area and the home is beautifully furnished with upscale bathrooms.
The Bursley Manor was great. We had the "substitute inn keeper" - but she was fabulous (I am sure the usual innkeeper is just as GREAT). Greate food, great drinks... The bed was SO COMFORTABLE, and we had a great fireplace and jacuzzi tub. We felt completely at home. This was a perfect romantic weekend!! CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK AGAIN!!
