Wonderful building with charming, comfortable and quiet rooms - you can see why The Cross is a very popular place to stay. The host was extremely helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had on our travels, very well cooked and extremely good quality. A big shout out to Luna the cat too! Thanks for a lovely couple of days.

Superb Bed and Breakfast, lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean and welcoming host. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. Evening meal at the local pub is a short stroll away, with excellent food and beer. Will certainly return if revisiting the area.

Lovely warm welcome from Terri who showed me around the guest lounge, outdoor seating and breakfast room. The bedroom was large, with a dressing table, armchairs, large bed, roll top bath and a separate large shower. The room was spotless! Terri recommended the George Pub for dinner just 2-minute walk, which was superb. Breakfast was superb, lovely breakfast room, great choice, freshly prepared cooked breakfast. Will return!

This is an excellent b&b in beautifully converted ancient buildings very close to Wells. It's an excellent base for exploring Wells/Frome/Glastonbury/Cheddar, all within just a few miles. The accommodation is modern and comfortable, the village is quiet and the breakfasts are fantastic. Terri and Julie take great care of their guests: we loved our stay.

A great stay

We had three great nights here in late July. Terry, the owner, was very welcoming and a great source of local information. Breakfast was wonderful. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a roll-top bath in the en-suite.

Fantastic Independent B&B - Top class

Fantastic little B&B close by to the city of Wells. The Owner Terri was extremely welcoming upon arrival and throughout my stay. The breakfast was top class and a wide choice of options too. Highly recomend and will return on my next visit to Wells.

Amazing stay, quiet location and very clean, spacious rooms, vibrant design. Bottle of water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, soft pillows, comfortable mattress. Nice hot and cold breakfast options, alcohol drinks served during the day and cozy lounge area downstairs. Highly recommended and would stay again!

We booked two rooms for one night. Beautiful property with very comfortable and characterful rooms. The owner/hostess was attentive and cooked a great breakfast for us all. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
