Cabin is located 1/4 mile from Long Bow Marina at Cave Run Lake and short distance (30 miles) to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. It is nestled in Daniel Boone National Forest in Menifee County. Sofa bed, queen size, available for additional sleeping on main level. This room exits out onto a balcony with outdoor sitting to enjoy the views of Cave Run Lake.
You will find 2 bedrooms upstairs with private balconies. Main bedroom has queen bed with lake views. Loft area has 2 twin beds with no interior door but does exit onto private balcony with cliff views. Due to cabin being an A-frame style, steep stairs are used to access the upstairs.
For outside sitting, you will find a picnic table located near grill with beautiful views of the lake in front and cliffs behind. Take a stroll up hill pass cabin to find a fire pit and another picnic table with sitting around fire pit. Beyond the sitting area you will find firewood for the fire pit. This property has wild and domestic animals that travel through the property. There are cliffs that create a perimeter to the back of property and large rocks in yard. This cabin is pet friendly with limit of 2 pets, additional fee applies. Please provide own kennel if pet needs to be left alone in cabin. If you enjoy listening to the sounds of the woods, this is a place you would love to see and visit. Wake up to the abundance of birds singing their songs as you start your day. Come, relax and enjoy what nature has to offer. If you enjoy state parks, our cabin is about an hour northeast from Carter Caves State Park and an hour southeast from Natural Bridge State Park. Take the scenic route through Nada Tunnel to the Red River Gorge. Come to relax or explore. Cherokee Cabin offers you both. Enjoy sunsets? We had a wonderful stay! The views are absolutely amazing, and the cabin offers plenty of privacy surrounded by nature and beautiful trails. It’s thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We would definitely recommend it!
Lovely cabin with great attention to detail by hosts. So many thoughtful touches to make our stay easy and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and made dining in convenient. Lovely views from the front porch and balconies. Lots of places to relax and renew your spirit.
Cherokee Cabin was the perfect place to come back to after a long day on the DBBB. The view was amazing and we would love to come back and see it in the Fall and Winter!

This has to be one of the best getaway places in the Daniel Boone forest. We visited in fall and the view from the cabin was amazing. The hosts ensured small details were taken care of and provided everything to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended!
Our family loved our visit to this cabin. The cabin was very clean and was stocked well with all the things we needed for our stay. You will not be disappointed!
Our stay, there was very pleasant when you first walked in the door you were met with how how appealing and clean. The host was very responsive when asking questions or needed something.. very easy to communicate with the host. They provided a bath towels and cloths as well as cleaning supplies for dishes. The scenery was beautiful. We went hiking a few times as there were things to do in the area. We will come back, hopefully with our kayaks.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Cherokee Cabin near Cave Run Lake! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cozy, rustic charm of the cabin. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and nature, with all the amenities you could ask for, yet still feels like a peaceful getaway. The cabin was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to cook meals. The hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. If you’re looking for a getaway that offers a tranquil setting with plenty of outdoor activities, Cherokee Cabin is the place to be. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to recharge and enjoy nature!
This property was great. The host thought of everything anyone could need! I loved that it was dog friendly. Very private with a great deck and view! We would definitely go back!!
This place was incredible! Pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and it was perfect. We love the area, the privacy of the cabin and the amenities were top notch! This is the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed at and we would definitely stay here again.Would love to come back in the Fall!
Our family stayed here over a weekend. The kids loved it! My husband and I had one room and our 3 teens each had their own bed. The kids loved making smores and roasting hotdogs at the fire pit. My husband loved how peaceful it is and I loved the views of the lake from the balconies. The cabin was clean, cozy, and inviting, and the host left thoughtful touches. (My kids were pretty excited about the Ale 8s). We will definitely be back.
Place was just as described & even better. The washer & dryer was a definite plus. Walked on paths by the cabin. I just can’t say enough about the hosts. They definitely go above & beyond to make sure you have everything you need. I have been to quite a few cabins & none had things like this one did. It was supplied with everything from laundry detergent to syrup for your pancakes. Absolutely loved it!!! Thank you again for everything!!!
This place is so cute! Very cottagey and comfortable. It's clear the owners take a lot of pride and care in the upkeep. Everything seemed fresh and spotless when we walked in, and everything we needed was at hand right where we'd expect to find it. Chairs were comfortable, beds were comfy with excellent quality sheets that were soft and cool, not hot and scratchy. The numerous decks and balconies had some wasps around in the afternoon heat, but in the evening and when the weather cooled they went to sleep or flew away wherever it is they go and were no longer a bother. I imagine if you're considering a cabin in the woods, you can probably cope with nature. (No spiders to be seen tho, which I was really happy about!) Everything I forgot to bring was already there when I looked. The hosts were nice and had great communication. I would definitely stay again.and had great communication

It was just ok
The neighbors dogs were the worst part of the stay I would say. The two dogs kept coming up to the cabin, I guess it was because we have two miniature dachshunds but I was afraid to let the dogs out or the children out because I never knew where the neighbors dogs were. If you’re an older person, you’d never be able to stay here because of the stairs, they go straight up and one of my dogs took a tumble straight down. The shower needs one of those hand held shower heads for younger children because it’s very small and it’s hard to get them showered without getting water everywhere including all over yourself. The couch is broken down in the middle back and should be replaced. That being said, the view is great and it was super clean! I enjoyed the fire pit area as well as the hiking trail once we figured out where it was. There was water and ale-8 in the fridge when we arrived so that was a nice touch!
We loved our stay! We look forward to future trips to this cabin. It was very clean, and the owners did a great job with making it feel like a home away from home.
The property is beautifully tucked away in the trees. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Had all nessesary amenities and plenty of cookware. The views were awesome. I give it 5 Stars!
Sitting on the porches looking at the view is so relaxing! Plus while you enjoy the view eagles come and fly around the tree tops and its really a site to see.
