The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in RRG. The cabin and hot tub were very clean and well taken care of. We had a great time and will be back!
The cabin is exactly as advertised and is in a great location. Close enough to the local activities, but also far enough away for some peace and quiet at the end of the day. Highly recommended for friends or family stays.
I was actually a bit surprised with the ease of the location! Great things to do close by. The cabin is comfortable and nice finishes. The owner has been available as needed and responsive. We would recommend it!
The property was not only beautiful and very well decorated, but it was extremely clean. We absolutely loved the space and location, close to everything! We had such a great time we would highly recommend!
This property was perfectly situated within short 10-25 minute drives from various Red River Gorge hikes, outlooks, and swimming holes — the perfect place from which to adventure. The rooms were tidy and clean, the couch and TV area comfy and spacious, the kitchen area well-appointed, and the hot tub awesome! We loved the quiet.
Absolutely amazing! The showers would be great for tall people! Neighbors are far enough away for privacy. Location is great and close to local food and activities!
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location of the cabin. The owners were amazing. Immediate responses to any questions or concerns we had. The cabin has plenty of room and is very cozy. Hot tub was amazing. We would love to stay here again.
This cabin is lovely. There was ample room for our family and the location is convenient for many activities. If you are planning to cook a lot, you may need some of our own supplies. It has the very basics.
This property was more than what we had expected. Very clean and well maintained. The layout is perfect ( full bath upstairs and downstairs- was an absolute plus!! ) The owners are very nice- they respond quickly if you have questions
Definitely recommend a stay here !!!
Great value for 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, fire pit, and hot tub!
Property seems almost brand new. Perfect for family, 2-3 couples, and friend trip. Close to many restaurants and highlights of the area, but quiet and off the main road. There are a few other rental cabins close by, but enough space and trees between each one for privacy.
We loved this cabin! Great location to all of RRG fun and hiking! The whole cabin was very clean aside from the floors which looked like they had been mopped with dirty water. The hot tub was the perfect way to end or begin each day. Neighbors are closer than pictures make it seem but that didn’t bother us much. 2 of the 3 beds aren’t very conducive to 2 people sleeping as one side is against a wall. Bathrooms are very nice. Living room is comfortable and cozy with the fireplace! Overall, a great place to stay!
Cabin was very nice and very clean. We would definitely come back. Didn’t know next door neighbors would be an easy view. Construction crew on other neighboring property cut into privacy a little. Overall had a great relaxing few days. Thank you
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Well equipped with two hairdryers and basic cookware. Host was easy and quick to communicate with. Location is good, but the drive is a bit steep with deep gravel as is the sidewalk leading to the house, so carry your bags, don't try to roll them. And it was a bit difficult to get more than one car out of the drive at a time. But those were minor issues, we enjoyed the cabin and certainly would return. As others mentioned, bring any food and condiments you might need, but there were coffee filters when we stayed although we brought some just in case. We've stayed at many cabins at RRG and this was one of the cleanest!
Three nights. Upstairs rooms were very hot as the air conditioning setting converted to 80 degrees every night. We tried to over ride the settings but either it was blocked or being controlled by WiFi off site. Hot tub temperature 104 control not working to turn cooler. This was the first place we stayed with out soap, shampoo, salt and pepper. Usually there is always starter coffee and sugar. On a positive note it was the cleanest ever!
This is a lovely little cabin tucked away in the Red River Gorge. It was clean & just the perfect size for the 2 of us, but would also be perfect for a small family. The key was in a key lock box which confused me as I thought it would just be a keypad on the door. But, the owners were quick to respond when I couldn't find it. I would have preferred to park closer to the cabin, but that certainly didn't hinder our enjoyment of the cabin. Just be aware it is a small trek with luggage downhill/uphill. We battled with the thermostat nightly because it just happened to be smarter than us. Our thermostats at home are the old school kind not smart thermostats. Not a complaint, just an observation. We would have preferred a bit more seclusion, but that's just us & honestly it was still perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would stay again. Highly recommend!!
We were visiting family nearby and they mentioned no one had been in the cabin the week prior. We messaged asking if they could let us know if the cabin was ready earlier than 4pm. The management company responded saying there was a $50 fee to check in early. I mentioned that the cabin was empty and they didn’t confirm either way, but asked again if we wanted to pay $50. I declined, because there was no reason for the fee if no one is rushing the turnover. I understand if maybe an extra housekeeper is needed, but this was not the case. We confirmed upon check in the last guest checked out days ahead of us per the note showing the date it was last cleaned. Other than this issue the stay was fine and location convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay here for a long weekend. There are many positives about the property.
Pros:
*Location - Close to everything
*Communication - Hosts were quick to respond and gave very thorough directions
*Outdoor space - Great hot tub, fire pit, chairs, etc to enjoy the outside.
*Blinds - The blinds in this place are great for privacy. EXCEPT for the doors. There are two doors that you can see right into with nothing to cover. Please add blinds to the doors!
Cons:
*The amenities are bare. In the kitchen, there was no spatula, no oven mit, no salt/pepper. No shampoo or soap in the shower. Come prepared with everything. As long as you know that, it shouldn't be a problem.
*Circulation - We struggled with the thermostat. It would keep going up to 75/80 after an hour of us turning it down to 68. There were no fans. This is a BASIC build. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be nice.
* Storage Space - there are no closets. So no where to put your luggage/totes of all the supplies you need to bring for the less than stellar stocked kitchen.
* Washing machine was moldy.
* Downstairs Bedroom - The remote was missing. There us a HUGE bed frame that makes the bed only accessible from one side. For a couple, it makes it very inconvenient to climb over your partner in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Put a smaller frame and add a second nightstand so it is accessible from both sides.
