Top Waya Island Hotel Reviews

Mantaray Island Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Great island retreat to relax with great snorkeling as well as other activities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice property to enjoy a real Fiji feeling on your vacation."

Octopus Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The snorkeling right off the beach is world class. I have paid for snorkeling tours that were not even close. The room was great wi the bathroom open to the outside with a shower. The sound of the ocean was amazing. All the rooms have either lounges hammocks or hanging beds I. Gront of them. Food is not to an American palette. Definitely recommend. Our room point 1 was the best!"

Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Fiji

8/10 Good

"Gorgeous Bure, right on the beach. Indoor/outdoor shower and bath. Be careful not to slip in the shower on residue left by cleaning product. Staff are always warm and smiling but not always as helpful as they could be. Sometimes had to make several requests before I could get a straight answer, e.g., is it possible to watch the AFL grand final?"

Barefoot Manta Island Resort and Marine Sanctuary

10/10 Excellent

"The coral on the east side of the resort was excellent and easy to access at high tide. It was much better than coral experienced in the Caribbean. Free guided snorkel trips to the local reef were offered every day. The staff is very friendly and helpful, a real Fiji experience."

Snorkeling with sharks (homestay)

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay in Yasawa Island was absolutely amazing and exceeded all our expectations.A special thank you to Bill, who provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make our fishing and snorkelling adventures truly memorable. Watching the girls enjoy every moment was priceless. My little one caught what felt like millions of fish, while the "grumpy old lady" managed to land the monster fish of the trip! Bill, thank you for helping make their dreams come true and for creating memories that our family will cherish forever. We were also spoiled by Paula's incredible cooking. The local food was absolutely delicious, and every meal was prepared with so much care and love. No matter what time we returned from our fishing trips, Paula was always there with a warm smile and something wonderful to eat. Her hospitality and dedication made us feel right at home. The combination of breathtaking surroundings, exceptional hospitality, amazing local cuisine, and unforgettable fishing experiences made this one of the best family holidays we've ever had.Thank you, Bill and Paula, for your kindness, hard work, and genuine hospitality. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. We can't wait to come back!"

Korovou Eco Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Korovou completely exceeded our expectations. The lodging is simple but was the perfect Fiji experience we were hoping for. We came from a resort with more amenities on the main island, but Korovou was the highlight of our trip. Amazing staff, especially Abo, our main activities guy, and the ladies in the kitchen, as well as all the others constantly working on property, even down to pouring cement and raking the beach. We felt like family here, and met so many people from around the world. You can feel the care and passion put into everything they do. We ate like kings & queens, with plates piled high with delicious homemade food, we even got a surprise beach picnic at no charge with food made over the fire, and were taken by boat to a new beach to explore. Gorgeous coral reefs right out our door, with optional day trips to see the coral garden at Manta Ray passage. (no rays when we went but it was beautiful) Reviews are true when it comes to limited electricity, low water pressure, and extra charges for food and boat tender, but it did not affect our trip negatively in the slightest. Just come knowing those things and having an open mind. Vinaka vaka levu to everyone that made our time here so special."
