"I really liked staying here. The setting is just beautiful! The inn reminded me of the setting for Dirty Dancing. Our room had a claw foot tub. I loved all the historic aspects of the inn. I would have liked to have more time to explore the property around the inn. Nancy was the lady who greeted us and was there the next day as well. She was super nice. I also enjoyed the breakfast. The grits were top notch! The inn is very quiet-they give you a notebook with info on the site. There is an explanation that the inn is 100 years old, and made of wood, so sound travels. They have quiet hours from 10pm to 7 am. There are no TVs. I did not mind this at all. They have activities scheduled at different nights. I would love to come back for one of their specialty weekends. Highly recommend."
"The house was spotless and cozy. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed and more. The view was great and the water in the shower gets nice and hot to get good and clean. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee."

"The cabin was exactly as advertised! The cabin was well equipped and the master bed was extra comfy!! It was the first time we took our dog in a trip and we loved that it had a small fended yard, Be aware the drive up is tricky and you WILL NEED A 4 wheel drive NO MATTER the time of the year. We had to drop our truck into 4 wheel drive for the final push into the driveway everytime. The privacy was nice and we enjoyed walking down and exploring the little neighborhood and behind the house! Will definitely come back!!"
Balsam Mountain Cabin with waterfalls and a great year round view

"We loved this cabin!! You can hear the waterfall while you look at the mountains relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the COOL breeze in July!!! And falling asleep to hearing the waterfall is a bonus! Sylva is a cute town, and we were able to go visit four waterfalls easily in a day, an hour’s drive. Asheville is also close. Highly recommend "
