A jewel in Dar es Salaam
"We loved White Sands Resort. We were six people in two one-bedroom apartments with a connecting door, just perfect for us. The kitchens were convenient, however one was not stocked at all and the other just had a few plates and a couple of forks and spoons. We didn't plan to do much cooking so didn't say anything about it, but probably the staff would have responded had we asked.
Otherwise, the stay was perfect with excellent air conditioning and two pools plus lovely beach walks to choose from. Breakfast buffet was remarkable and got us started each day! "

Nice hotel!
"It was our second stay and all went well.
Few things:
Though property says garbage on a beach is out of their control I have a different take on it. While what is washing off on a beach during high tide is out of their control , to clean it is . They say they have full time staff to clean beach . I went there twice and I never saw anyone cleaning it . It was not even that much garbage there . It was a significant amount but not to the point hat it’s not manageable . Such a shame . Because sand and water is beautiful . Every beach on a world has high and low tides and have things washing off the shore . But .. it gets cleaned for people use . That’s it’s just a neglect . We went for lunch at Girrafe
hotel and there beach was perfectly clean.
Spa: it looks gross. Sauna didn’t work. Only steam room . Bench was covered with someone’s scrub . There was something laying there against the wall like some broken peace . Massage table was covered with some stained material. Overall impression was to not return . "
