"I donāt EVER leave reviews but I have to leave a review for Chaiya Palace!
This was one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at! The room was gorgeous and extremely clean. Housekeeping came everyday and they truly did an excellent job. It was so nice coming back to our beautifully made/cleaned room after a long day of adventuring. Next, the breakfast was authentic and so delicious! As a bonus, you get to eat breakfast with incredible views all around. Lastly, the staff were exceptional. My husband and I were so grateful at how helpful the front desk staff were. They answered all our questions and even helped us book a rental car.
I implore you to stay at this hotel! You will have the best experience as well die. As I mentioned before, I donāt leave reviews unless a hotel really blows me away and this one truly did. "
"The staff, breakfast and room were all excellent. The security guards at the entrance were really kind. They also had a lovely massage area at the nearby sister hotel. Local attractions were very accessible by grab/taxi. The only downside is that the room had lots of mosquitoes so I was bitten a lot during my stay. There was a mosquito net provided above the bed but mosquito spray for the room would have been more beneficial. Overall it was a very nice stay. "
"Our brief Cambodian visit took us to the boutique Pavilion Hotel in Phnom Penh. Centrally located and near to the Cambodia/Vietnam friendship monument, but significantly hidden behind walls and trees, luckily the local taxi drivers know where this small but popular hotel is located, it can be easily missed, identified by a small Pavilion sign, bordered by white elephant statues and a security hut. A small āno sex touristā sign was reassuring. With only 36 rooms here, you are a world away from brand or chain hotels here. A daily hum of singing from the pagoda located opposite reminds you are in Cambodia and miles away from our native UK.
Off to the restaurant through the small green open air vegetative ācorridorsā, truly an Inner City oasis, with an immediately relaxing atmosphere. This was the hub of the hotel, friendly and attentive staff including Vesana who provided amazing service. Local food was tasty and cheap, and the evening drinks happy hour for cocktails and local beer was most welcoming. Breakfast, held in the same restaurant is a la carte style, and unlimited from a menu, with many healthy options.
This is a casually relaxing hotel, feeling more like a guest house, but an unusually tropical oasis at that. Perfect for short stays, for relaxing between tours, for experiencing the local night life. A family bar with live music, a fifteen minute walk away to āLittle Susieā is a must try. "
Like a massive lotus blooming from Phnom Penhās center, this monument is a touching tribute to the countryās independence and to the people who made it possible.
