"The staff is very friendly and helpful but the hot water issue is not good. We never had a hot shower the week we were there and there were only maybe 5 other rooms filled. They need bigger water tanks. Also the pool was not very clean but we still like it here"

"Overall very pleased with the hotel, we utilized the bar, game room, breakfast, gym, and wrap around deck. My only complaint is the floors seem to be thin. We could hear heavy walking constantly in our first floor room. We kept the A/C fan blowing all night long to try and drain out the noise."

"Great clean house in an ideal location. Walking distance to all of downtown Galina. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch answering questions about the huge flood gate just next door from visitors passing by on their to town (thanks to a book on the coffee table we knew a few facts to share).The nautical decor was very well done. For as old as the house is it wasn't squeaky at all. Totally enjoyed our stay and would stay again.Having the parking spaces up behind the house was nice but even better is the free street parking out front once evening rolled around and town clears out. Especially on packing up to head home.Highly recommended!!"

"My daughter and I took a little mini trip to Galena for two nights. We loved staying in the Steamboat Inn! The room was spacious with its own bathroom. All the tiny little details, decorating, flowers, wallpaper, just everything, made it so special. I loved learning about the history of the Inn, the billiards room, and choosing a movie from their wide variety in the library. Breakfast was delicious. It was such a treat to be served at a formal table with multiple courses. That has not been my typical experience. I was also happy to have the extra treats like the wine-and-cheese hour, the nightly cookies or brownies, and an early-morning coffee-and-tea service in the upstairs parlor. The location was perfect, just a block from the main shopping street in Galena, giving us access to shops and restaurants. I will stay there again for sure! I highly recommend it."
