"Great vibe and decor - and a brilliant town centre location. The original features which have been retained give the hotel great character. We paid extra for a 'Big Double' room - and would definitely recommend this if you think you might want to spend the odd evening in your room. The extra 1.5-2m (est) across the whole length of the room meant there was space for a small table and two chairs, which were comfy enough to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching TV. Breakfast disappointed slightly compared to other four star hotels we've stayed in due to: the lack of variety of breads (conventional sliced being the only wholemeal option available) and the lack of choice if you can't have strawberries (strawberries in the fruit compote every day and no honey available, so only a few seeds and dried fruit to go in natural yoghurt) and no jams other than strawberry available (marmalade, nutella or marmite being the only other options) - honey would have made a difference here too. No issues with cleanliness or noise (although we had specifically requested a room on the quieter side of the building). Other than that, a great stay and would happily recommend the Telegraph to anyone wanting to stay within easy walking distance of everything you need."

"Just because I had a well priced personal deal through Expedia that shouldn’t have meant that I got awhat looked like the worst room up a flight of stairs that felt like the servants quarters, that had mould and mildew around the window and in the bathroom. Room desperately in need of refurbishment. Although I had read that the hotel had a lift, which was essential for my needs, there was no mention in the description that this room was stairs only access. I didn’t request lift access as assumed there was one. Reception greeting and check out was very minimal with no interaction other than was absolutely necessary so no feeling of being welcome or valued. Not somewhere I would stay again."

"I have stayed here a couple of times and it's an excellent and clean place to stay. There's daily housekeeping. Staff were helpful and respectful. They helpfully accommodated my situation the day I arrived. Parking is brilliant but car has to be registered. Worse and worse of all is the crappy unbefitting internet service of an institution like Warwick. The internet was weak & so unstable that, I had to buy T mobile international pass plan for my work and phone. I really hope something is done to improve the internet especially if guests are going to be assigned rooms that are a bit away from the reception (my room was 114 and the internet wasn't good at all). "

"We had a peaceful and comfortable 2 nights at Gardener's Cottage. The accommodation was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. A bright and relaxing space equipped with everything we needed - plus a warm welcome from the owner who explained we were the very first guests! The only downside was we were expecting 2 bedrooms as per the VRBO summary, but the sofa bed in the living room was perfectly adequate for our small family. Thank you for a lovely stay! "
