Moffett House - Bayshore

Cozy and cute two bedroom home in Bayshore, (both bedrooms have queen beds) One and one-half baths (one full bath in hall) and separate 1/2 bath between kitchen and garage. Sleeper sofa in living room, limited view with beach access directly across the street. 50 inch flat screen TV in living room with HD. The master bedroom has a 42 inch Flat screen TV, both have DVD players. Wonderful large deck off living room. Washer/dryer in garage, full kitchen with all appliances including dishwasher. Gas log fireplace. Close to the Bayshore Beach Club with pool privileges in summer months. WiFi.

No Motorhomes. No boats. No trailers. Strictly enforced.

Favorite beach stay of all our trips!

We loved the Moffet house! It was clean, homey and close to the beach. The neighborhood and the beach were quiet and only a few people in sight (not like the busy, more touristy areas). Everything was comfortable and worked well, and we would love to come back again!

New Years fun

Stayed here over New Years with my best friend and my daughter. My brother lives nearby and it was great to have this cozy little place to come back to after a busy day. Most memorable was curling up on the couch listening to the storm outside with the fireplace. Very comfy! The house was very clean, kitchen was well stocked. And having 2 bathrooms was a god send. We were able to host a meal or two and that was fun.

perfect 2 week stay

We love Waldport and can take many day trips from there. The house was just right for us. We had an issue with the garage door not working and it was fixed within two days. The reach access is very close. It was wonderful to have a heat thermostat in each room.

Perfect Location

This house is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood directly across the street from an amazing beach where you can walk for miles in either direction. We loved being able to park our car in the garage. The house was perfectly clean and comfortable. We appreciated the use of the washer/dryer. There were plenty of linens and dishware. We would definitely stay here again.

nice older home

The house is an older one. There is mold in the bathroom. I know, it is difficult, to keep mold out of a bathroom without a window. The beds are comfy, kitchen has all you need. Beachaccess is just across the street. The built-in-microwave broke on saturday evening. I called the number of the responsible person for that house. And Peter helped us out with an seperate microwave. It is very easy to talk to him. Thank you Peter and team.

A Great Ocean Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Moffett House was a great getaway by the ocean with the dogs. Beach access really was right across the street. Although the weather was rainy or windy in early January, the neighborhood and the beach was quiet. The house was spacious, the kitchen well appointed, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom fully functional. Just know that the heater was old so it was noisy and the thing at the top of the chimney squeaked as it swiveled with the wind. This was our first time with VRBO, so was a bit suspicious of the need to contact the property management company with payment info. When I talked to them, they were very understanding and made it all good. We’d come again!

You can see the ocean in-between houses from the front deck. Beautiful beach, nice house for the price. This is a dog friendly house so there were some spots on the carpet,to be expected, aside from that the house is clean and comfortable.

The beds are very comfortable. (The fireplace doesn’t work but we probably wouldn’t have used it.) It’s the perfect location. Across the street from the entrance to the dunes and the beach, a great beach!! Close to Newport, close to Yachats. So many great beaches. Perfect spot, perfect house, perfect weather. We will be back!

The house was clean, beds comfortable and so close to the beach. We had a storm Saturday so the wave swells were magnificent. Unfortunately the fireplace failed but it was still very nice. Do not need coffee filters or toilet paper. But bring foil. Thank you for the opportunity, we will definitely stay again.

Lockbox was straight-forward, access to the beach across the street was wonderful and the view of the waves out the front windows was perfect. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, a garage, big TV, puzzles, books, all helped make our stay more enjoyable. Other rentals on the block allowed our family to rent 2 spaces and gather for meals and trips to Devil's churn, Cape Perpetua, Newport, Yaquina Head tidepools, Seal Rock and local restaurants like LunaSea and Pacific Sourdough Bakery. Thanks for an easy stay!

The very best characteristic of this rental was its proximity to beach access at marker 67. We really enjoyed the frequent walks on the beach without having to drive. On the con side, there were 4 controllers for the TV and related video equipment and no instructions. We never got the TV to work, although that's not the primary reason we came to the beach. Also, the gas fireplace didn't work. Again, not a biggie but maintenance and details were lacking.
