"The location and the room are very good. But when we check in, the sink for washing is plugged, we called front desk, waited a maintenance guy come, it take quite a while for him to fix it. After a long tired day, we are exhausted and hoped to be able to rest once entered the room. I hope they check those things as part of house keeping. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to stay."

"A Shore Thing was very nice but should be called A Sand Thing because it is located in big sand dunes back from the shore. My husband and I enjoyed our quiet stay even though I was disappointed that the ocean could only be seen in the distance and it was a bit of a hike out to the water. The house was well decorated with a sea shore theme and I liked having the two bedrooms, especially the king bed room with the window looking out towards the ocean. The house is also well set up for kids with the bunk beds in the second bedroom and a selection of toys and games and videos for kids. The house was older than I expected from the photos and for the price, but was generally quite clean and maintained except for the slat window blinds which were very dusty and hard to pull up and down. The kitchen was well equipped although there were no filters or coffee for the coffee maker as is normally provided. I left the filters that I bought for future guests. While I appreciated that they allowed dogs, I found the additional pet fee excessive. In general I thought the property was quite nice, but not a great value for the price."

"The house was really nice, plenty of room for everyone. Everyone enjoyed playing pool. Kitchen had everything you needed. Literally a 1 minute walk and you were on the beach! Very peaceful and enjoyed listening to the ocean before going to sleep."

"The house was clean and worked great for our family, host responded quickly to my questions. I wasn’t wild about the 5 min walk on the pathway to the beach but it was okay. I’ve been spoiled by being right on the beach for many years at Beachside State Park but we decided to try a house this year instead of camping. Strictly my preference, but I’d much rather be closer to the beach."
