About this property
CozyCattail Cabin on our secluded coastal estuary woodland retreat
Tucked in our little valley without cell phone or internet reception You can unplug from the rest of the world and enjoy some peace and quiet while staying in a really comfortable cabin.
The Cozy Cattail Cabin is most comfortable for 1-2 persons (no pets) and is the most secluded as it is nestled behind the trees. The Cozy Cattail can serve as your base camp for exploring the central Oregon Coast. Be sure to schedule time sit back and relax surrounded by nature.
Sleeping in the comfort and luxury of the CozyCattail Cabin, the Cabin features pine paneling throughout, a high open ceiling in the living room, Myrtlewood flooring and furnishings and a woodsy wildlife décor from the Myrtlewood Gallery to give it a true Northwest feel.
There is a myrtlewood queen bed with a memory foam mattress in the upstairs spacious loft bedroom and another double size bed in the tiny bdrm downstairs right next to the bathroom. Comforters, blankets, pillows, and clean sheets are supplied The bathroom has a small shower, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, .... The cute compact kitchen features a small Stove/Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Pots, Pans, Dishes, and Utensils. Just bring the groceries. A heat pump with air conditioner keeps the cabin comfortable winter or summer. We are tucked into a little valley where Intermittent cell phone reception is only sometimes available by some carriers outside. Cell phone reception is usually available out on Lower Smith River Rd.
Located in the Forest zone, you might experience the sounds of the 2026 logging activity from the county property nearby.
Also note that the property is out in the country where there is a large variety of wildlife. There may occasionally be bears, beavers, bobcat, bats, and bees. Owls, moles, mice, bunnies, deer, hawks and more.
You are welcome to bring your own canoe or kayaks and launch them from the waters edge. Just time it with the high tide.
Trailers are NOT recommended. If you are bringing a trailer, be aware that we do have a 10ft wide bridge with tight corners. Larger trailers are discouraged as you may have some difficulty with the inside corners. Small 8-14 ft trailers are usually OK just watch your rear trailer tire on the inside corner. Also note access is via a mile one lane gravel road, limited pullouts and tight turn around.
