The Space:
Everything you need for a refreshing lakeside getaway is on hand - put your feet up or head out for days on the water.
PLEASE NOTE – This property is STRICTLY not suitable for parties, events, or loud groups.

Downstairs at this Five Mile Bay accommodation, bedroom 1 has a queen sized bed, Bedroom 2 includes a queen bed plus a single bed, and bedroom 3 also has a queen bed and Bedroom 4 includes a queen sized bed and a single bed. Upstairs, bedroom 5 also has a queen bed and its own W/C.

For a simple holiday set up, there are 2 bathrooms on the downstairs level and a water closet in the upstairs bedroom.
Everything you need for a no fuss family getaway at the lake are on hand, or head into town a 10 minute drive away...
If it's a winter stay you have planned, this home is equipped with a wood-burning fireplace for those cozy nights indoors.

Complimentary Tea and coffee
We use hire serviced linen to provide our Airbnb guests with high quality linen. All beds are made up with a towel and face cloth provided for each guest. If you require extra towels for the beach or hot pools please bring your own.

Guest Access:
The whole home is yours to access and enjoy. You will have access to and use of the entire house , and off street carparking + jetski or boat parking.
Sorry the garage is not available.

Other Things to Note:
Rotorua is only one hours drive and Hawkes Bay within 1.5 hours drive for a day of sightseeing and for the active traveller the Ski field and Tongariro crossing is an 1.5 hours drive. The Glowworm Caves are also 2 hours drive and Hobbiton 1.5 hours making Taupo the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to stay and explore from.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests their privacy but Kerry is available by phone or text to answer any questions and we are only ever 10-15 minutes drive away if needed in an emergency.

Great property, clean and tidy, outside yard was great for the children, pathway just out the front safe for the children and they made the most of it, the weekend went to quick loved the time we were there.

5 Mile Bay Retreat

We chose this house for its proximity to the lake. There is a fantastic panorama view of the lake upstairs. However the view is obstructed by a bush in front of it. This meant you couldn't sit down and enjoy the view while enjoying a cuppa. Over the road was a construction site in full swing with nail guns and saws buzzing and banging. Access to the house was difficult with all the trade vans contesting the street. There was no prior notification of this when booking.
