The good: Staff, breakfast, pools, beach access, ornate and stylish decor. The less good: It's a little remote. There is not much within walking distance, unless you like giant open-air seafood restaurants, of which there are many, but their reviews aren't so good. The food at the hotel restaurants is excellent however. If you want a lazy getaway where you lounge by the pool, go to the beach club, and eat in the hotel, this is perfect. If you want a little more variety, then accept taking taxis everywhere (admittedly still cheap but a pain).

Fine for a couple of nights, triple room doesn’t accomodate 4 person. Lighting is dark & air con is not very cold. Buffet fine but busy. Free mini bar is just water & 3 soft drink. Building is beautiful. Right on beach. Beach club lovely & beautiful Reception staff helpful with assistance in booking ferries. Price is high for what it is.

Expedia customer service: please help me to ask for refund for our bad experience with The Imperial Vung Tau Hotel , see following incident: April 1 , we stayed at The Imperial hotel room 1708 , we had very bad experience! We found out the toilet bowl was clogged shortly after dinner time, we called & the hotel sent someone to fix it around 7:30 pm. But in the middle of the night the toilet bowl was blocked again! Because of the problem with the toilet bowl, our room smelled bad all night long! I notified the hotel next morning April 2rd at 7:30am in the morning, and they sent another person to repair it, but the toilet bowl couldn't be used anymore, still blocked! At 10am , I checked out and informed the hotel management, but they said there was nothing they could do. I asked for compensation , they said I need to contact Expedia because the booking was by Expedia! We paid for an upgraded hotel 5 star, and we couldn’t go to the bathroom the whole night and we had to endure the bad smell in the room all Night !

While the resort is beautiful and has clearly the best setup on the beach the area around it is filled with run down and abandoned beach properties and there is a lot of litter washing in the the mornings, especially as you move towards the old town.

Perfect except for Air conditioning.
The hotel and staff are fantastic. Great accommodations but the AC did not cool down our suite. That is not ok for a 5 star resort. Restaurants, beach and pools were perfect.

Staff and service was excellent. From bell boys to kitchen staff and front desk clerk are very helpful and care making us feel very important. Front desk were very accommodating and help us change room as we were not happy with our first room. We had number of issues with our room and after calling front desk ,problem gets fixed within minutes. Massage therapists were very skillful, I had one of the best massage there. We were very surprised the hotel gave us a complimentary limousine ride back to Saigon after we checked out. That were way above our expectations. Food were also very good and a lot variety. Loved the coffee machine. Highly recommended

The Imperial hotel review dec 2023
This is a nice 5 star hotel . It has been maintained well. Service is excellent from reception to doorman .. we love the seafood restaurant facing the sea. Met a lady manager? Who is excellent in service. Lift access near the receptionist is a bit slow. Breakfast and variety taste great.. We stay in the family room.. 716.. feel clean. Surprise there are 2 toliets .Just the toliet near the main door do not have a soap dish and no place to hang the hand towel. Which can be easily improved. The other main toliet ia excellent.. Surprise that it seen to be low season and Vung Tau is quite deserted Lucky there is a lotte mart nearby and cal use grab easily.

Rooms are outdated and old. View is amazing. AC is not strong enough to make the suit cold. Breakfast. Dinner and poolside lunches are amazing and good value for the money.

This will be my last time to coming back to this hotel . The staff was so ruled and means. Last year i came here stayed for 3 days and had the bad experience. They’d called and apologized and asking to coming back and will improve the service but they didn’t improve it . So bad service

The Imperial Hotel is the best in Vung Tau because of its location to the beach, safety, and excellent staff! It has a very clean and private beach directly accessible from the hotel. There are friendly staff inside and outside the hotel ready to serve you. You always feel safe outside the hotel and on their beach because of the abundant number of staff ready to guide in wherever you need to go. I have stayed at many hotels but the Imperial is the best. I highly recommend staying here!

This property was fabulous! 5* for design, breakfast, beach access and service! Rooms in residence were extra large with full modern kitchen ! Only negative was that they did not have black out curtains!

Low value for money :( not coming back
Let's start from here: I booked a double deluxe room with a sea view. It's description says separate bath and shower, and in a room description they present a bath with a window with a sea view. And this was my criteria to choose. First we got a room with shower only, later we got a room with a bath only, and there was no bathroom window in any of them. We had to give up. Hotel wasn't fully occupied, therefore an upgrade wouldn't be a challenging decision. We arrived to a hotel in a middle of a night (3 AM). At 8 AM cleaning service was ringing a bell to our room for cleaning. To remind you: this is a 5-star hotel. Here it is a bad service, not a mistake. We asked them to come back in 30 minutes, going to breakfast anyway. They returned in the afternoon when we were already back from a full day sunbath. Later we had to explicitly ask to clean the room. We spend there five days, and the bed sheets were not replaced :/ Breakfast: yes, this is 5-star breakfast :) but this was not enough. They have a private part of a beach. But the bass-high electronic music makes it merely "good enough". This was our third trip to Vietnam. We love revisiting places. Sadly, we won't come back here, nor recommend it anyone. Pricewise you will find numerous better stays in the area.
