"Hans is a very nice host - he was very responsive and easy to communicate with. He personally greeted us and introduced us to the neighborhood and to the house. The house is located in Haarlem, but it is easy to get to Amsterdam. There is a shopping mall nearby with 3 supermarkets and some big stores."

"Renting the property was quick and straightforward. Good communication with the owner. However, on arrival the property especially the upstairs rooms were very dusty I asked for mop which was provided but was unable to used due to the complicated process of putting the mop together. Overall, we didn't have much experience at the amenities bcos we were out most times. But I would definitely go back to explore the place more."

"Nice size although the layout could have been better. The kitchen was a bit crowded with three doors opening into it. We found the dish soap and towel finally on the table but would have been better placed by the sink. Parking was interesting as we did not know which spot was ours. The reception was very good and helpful. All in all a very nice place and perfect for what we needed."

"If you want an alternative to the tourist masses of Amsterdam then I highly recommend Alkmaar and staying at Simon's. The house is lovely and authentically dutch and you are right in the middle of a beautiful town. Recommend taking the bikes out to Bergen and beyond."

"This is one of the most elegant, well-equipped properties we have ever stayed in. Everything from the superb bed linens and lovely hand soap, to the gourmet kitchen. The location near museums and parks, was wonderful. Communication, check in and out was handled well, and the extra bedding we requested was ready for us. We are already planning a return trip next spring, and would hope to book this apartment again."

"I stayed at this property for 3 days and enjoyed it and Amsterdam thoroughly. The host was very helpful and open. I had no issues with anything at the property. The area is very nice and quite at night. Only possible downside could be for people with mobility issues as the staircases are very narrow and steep. As long as you're aware of that, I recommend this place."

"Me and my friend stayed for four days, the host was so kind. He helped us have a best experience and made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was nice but somethings were missing off the description initially like it being a shared co working space and the jacuzzi wasn’t clean enough to go in, but the fire pit was amazing and the patio. "Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dem kleinen Häuschen. Es ist sehr sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, mit vielen tollen Details. Die Ausstattung lässt kaum Wünschen übrig. Der Sonnenuntergang lässt sich direkt durchs Wohnzimmer beobachten. Es liegt sehr ruhig an einem kleinen See. Zur Nordsee fährt man ca 20 Minuten, nach Amsterdam ca 40 Minuten. Nach Rotterdam und Den Haag ist man ungefähr eine Stunde unterwegs, aber auch die nähere Umgebung besticht durch wunderschöne kleine...

"The rental is attached to the main house and is truly wonderful. Beautiful sunsets and plenty of room for everyone. We came with 10 people and were comfortable. The bedroom downstairs was perfect for us and the bed was nice and hard(I don’t like a super soft bed). There were all kinds of seasonings and drinks in the fridge for the folks who like to cook. It’s close to the Zaanse Schans and very close to just about everything. We were all very pleased."

"We knew the house had multiple floors but didn’t realize it would be that many steps (31) to the beds and bath. The bathtub was such a deep one that it was scary stepping out. Thankfully none of us fell but we had to take caution. Maybe tubs in Europe are all that deep. A suggestion would be nice if shower head was mounted to wall."

"Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, der Wohn- und Essbereich ist gemütlich. Die Terrasse ist nett gestaltet, die Möbel generell sind bequem. Toll ist auch, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher gestellt werden. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super, da man in 5-8 km in Egmond aan Zee, Bergen, Bergen aan Zee oder auch in Alkmaar ist. Wir kommen sicherlich noch mal wieder."

"After staying in 4 different locations all over the Netherlands I have to say that this one was the best! The pics and description do not do this place justice. It’s phenomenal especially the smell of the bed sheets. Just wow! If i had known how good this place is compared to everywhere else and price I would’ve stayed here again hands down!"

"Nice and quiet hotel. Room was nice and clean. Staff were helpful. We were able to check in early. The shower room was very open so it got all wet after one person took a shower. Also, hotel does not offer paper towel and paper tissues in the room. "
