"The hotel is about 10 minutes from the main Harper’s ferry attraction and brewery. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Downside to the hotel- it doesn’t look like it was well maintained! There were numerous spiders in the room, we didn’t have hot water when we showed late at night. Overall, the hotel is just mid and could be better maintained"

"The cottage is perfect. It feels like you are stepping into someone’s immaculately decorated guest house for the weekend. It is within walking distance to everything in Harper’s Ferry but if you wanted to skip it all this would be the house to do nothing in. A beautiful front porch, woods and a meadow to look at with deer and groundhogs making daily appearances. Or if you wanted to hike the AT, it’s less than 100 yards away. The Carrot Top Cottage was a dream spot for our family of 5 and our kids were so bummed to go home."

"Jay was a great host. We had a special request and he accommodated us. The house was larger than I expected. We traveled from Indiana and met up with 3 other couples. The house was plenty big for all of us. Jay also told us where we could park the third car. For people that had never been to Harpers Ferry, Parking is a big issue. The street was quiet but close to everything. Younger people could even walk to the lower town. Thank you Jay for a great stay. Would recommend this house for any larger group"

"Perfect location and size for a few night stay. Very clean and dry. Would stay here again for another long weekend. Only suggestion is to improve the parking. There was a group in the unit above us, and they had two cars. One day we returned, and they were parked blocking the spot designated for our unit. Luckily, the other guests were kind and we figured out a solution together. However, three cars cannot comfortably fit in the parking area for this house."

Charming 3-Bedroom Home in historic Harpers Ferry: Pet Friendly!

"Home was exactly as described. Very clean, wouldn't have known they had pets previously! There was a dog bed and bowls ready for us to use if needed. Rooms were huge and the bed was comfortable. It rained an entire day during our stay and we had no issues just hanging out on the front porch. House was also baby friendly, but she isn't mobile yet so can't speak to outlet covers/etc. Easy to walk into the main part of Harper's Ferry. Steepish hill on the way back but worth it to avoid parking and trying to navigate all that."
