"I stayed at the Thistle on a layover at Heathrow. It was a quick and enjoyable pod ride to the hotel and the automatic check in was very efficient. Managed to check into my room within less than an hour from touching down. The room is the standard English hotel room, the bed is comfortable, and everything I needed was there. I would have liked to get something at the restaurant but found myself falling asleep right away! Great place to stay on a layover from Heathrow. I would definitely go again."

"This hotel is a little off the beaten track for me as I normally stay close to Fitzrovia in London. However, I wanted a hotel with a gym / pool, and this was situated an easy walk away from Westbourne Park underground station (a few stops on from Great Portland Street station). And what a pleasant surprise I had. This is a funky, fresh hotel with brilliant facilities. My room was a great size and included a small kitchen. The air con in my room was excellent and the gym is good enough for a solid workout. Added to this was a cinema room and pool (neither of which I used) and a fabulous canal side restaurant (the rolled lamb belly was unbelievable). This was all topped off by EVERY single member of staff being kind and considerate. If you want a hotel that is a corporate chain - this is not for you. If you want great facilities in a relaxed, non pretentious atmosphere, this is worth a go."
