"Amazing location, could not fault that! Positives- location, outside bar area, nice clean rooms, comfy bed, room air con was good. Nice breakfast. Great swimming pool, lots of inflatables and balls. Laid back staffs Decent entertainment Negatives - terrible wifi. No air con in any other communal area which surprised us! Very little information about available food or snacks from the bar or restaurant, no idea how the restaurant worked, seemed to be just one main course on offer each evening which seemed strange for such a big restaurant.. we were under the impression that no food was available in the daytime until we happened to see people eating lunch from the bar on our final day, we had no idea they served food, no menus were obvious.. it’s a pain if you are using the pool area and want a drink or ice cream from the bar as you have to come all the way out of the pool area which is a bit of an effort. Drinks, especially soft drinks were expensive No fridge in bedrooms which was hard going when the weather was incredibly hot and humid. This would be a great addition. Breakfast was good but distinct lack of fruit (some apples and bananas) but would have been great to have some sliced watermelon or pineapple Also some sliced tomato would have been good We were surprised when we checked out by car parking charges of over €90 for the week- we had checked in very late but were not told about these at the time, I even emailed the hotel before we arrived to ask but no repl"

"A lovely hotel conveniently situated in the pretty St Jean Cap ferrat. The staff looked after myself and my family very well from the moment we were greeted by Isaac on arrival. The breakfast was lovely with a great selection of food. The pool was also well maintained and clean. A great stay!"

"Spacious villa in the middle of town. Street parking was tricky but we were always able to find something. Location is walkable to everything and home was stocked with everything we needed. A very comfortable stay!"

"The hotel is right on the harbor and you can go back and forth to the beach and restaurants so easily. Do not stay anywhere else unless you like climbing hills. But more than that the hotel is really nice. We had a sixth floor room and while the hall ceiling was too low for my 6 ft tall husband, the room was lovely with a great view of the bay. Great AC and coffee machine in the room. We loved Villefranche and so glad we were right in the village at the Welcome"

"The staff was very helpful. We arrived very hot and overheated. We were allowed to check in early, and given water and towels so that we could get right into the pool which was very appreciated. The pool was clean and lovely. Though the room had a/c which was essential due to the heat it lacked many amenities. There was no refrigeration which made keeping food and cold beverages a significant challenge. We were given ice from the bar but told we would need to purchase additional ice. We had to request a bag for trash (only a very small can in the bathroom). There was also a problem with small ants. It should be known that the walk to the waterfront is about 750 steps and not easy so an Uber or prior planning is advised. However, right up the street is a lovely patisserie, boulangerie and grocery and there is a nice view from the pool. Overall we had a great trip and the staff was very responsive with our requests."

"This property is in a great location in Villefranche-sur-Mer, close to plenty of restaurants. The apartment had plenty of space for our family of four with two teenagers. The large outdoor patio area overlooking the bay was a favorite for everyone. I would stay here again."

"This was a lovely authentic Francais apartment. There was lots of space and the terrace was great overlooking the bell tower and cobblestone streets. While it could use some TLC, it had wonderful charm. A few things to note:This apartment is on a narrow cobblestone road with steps. Charming but lacks accessibility. Further, once you reach the entrance, there’s a staircase with another 30 steps. It’s great if you have no mobility issues.Cars cannot reach the front door so you need to taxi/ride share to “La Place de Paix” at the top of the hill and walk downhill about 50 meters to the entrance. Alternatively, it’s a 10 minute walk from the train station along cobblestones. Parking is challenging. There is one garage close by but rather expensive (25 overnight). Other cheaper options, if space is available, but all involve walking. The good news is that the more expensive garage near us always has parking spaces.There are three double beds and three separate sleeping areas however one is a loft accessible by ladder looking down into one of the other rooms. There is privacy for changing etc but it did feel like we were in the same room. The third sleeping area has its own separate space. This room does not have a window.The location was perfect for us. Right in the heart of the old town and steps from great restaurants and shops. Easy access to transportation for day trips either by car or public transportation. Claes was responsive to messages and questions."
